    The FSU and Miami defenses are extremely fast and cause havic on one another all night. Penn State's team speed does not compare to Miami and FSU. All 3 are top 15 defenses but have different strengths. Unfortunately Miami's got a ton more speed than us and I simply don't think we'll have an answer for them.

    It will come along. Most of the drops were by first year players Cedric Hill and Amari Jackson. Hill sat out last year and Jackson hasn't played football in 2 years. The intangibles of the receivers has dramatically improved. The blocking is much better and their route running is more crisp. The receive corp will be the bright spot of the team if they can get the ball delivered accurately. Expecting receivers to catch passes thrown on a rope 2 yards behind them is tough. There is no excuse for dropping the ones that hit you in the chest though.

    Nothing shows more desperation than to bring a sign regarding another school to a different game. These fools will stop at nothing to make an a$$ of themselves. Envy!

    I certainly hope not. I heard Bohemian Rhapsody on Rock Star INXS last night. I don't need to hear it again for a few more weeks. 5 times by the USF band will be more than enough this year.

    7-0 is impossible since two BE teams are playing each other. Throw that game out of the equation and you have: 3-3 would be good, 4-2 great, 5-1 people would take notice, wow, 6-0 POWERHOUSE conference

    Gregory could be servicable in the right offense. Good athlete that will probably switch positions. PJ will be at a new position next year. Severino....agree but maybe he's just hanging out to learn college football in preparation of becoming a coach. 2006 really only has Denson, Hill and Grothe. Depending on how Denson plays this year it may only be Hill and Grothe.

    STK - as you know there are a number of UCFers in the Tampa Bay area. Based on past info from them I'm sure they are getting just as good info on your program as you are.

    STK - Maybe the 2nd or 3rd time I've ever agreed with you.......if we lose to UCF then I'd be the first to wish Leavitt good-bye.  A loss to UCF would be as bad as a loss to Buffalo or to a I-AA team.  Losing games like that and you have no business coaching. I have heard rumblings that you guys have concentrated your whole spring and summer workouts on USF. Each time O'Liar says something to motivate it includes USF. Funny, Leavitt uses Penn State and Miami. Maybe he's think too big. O'Liar, well, he'd be happy with 1 win as long as it was against USF.

    I'm ready to use this year as a building tool so we have a QB that is ready next year. PJ will never be a QB. Denson will never be a quality QB. Hill is too much of an athlete to waste 3 years teaching him to be a QB. Grothe could take his lumps this year and be ready to have very good years on 06 and 07.

    No, we've just had a QB coach that can't develop anyone. He takes "athletes" and trys to make them QBs. If Smith would get his head out of his a$$ he'd spend his time with Grothe and give him the reigns. He may not have the strongest arm but he know how to play QB. The other 3 in our system are athletes that are being pushed into the wrong position. Square peg, round hole.

    Also had a nice play from scrimmage for about 10 yards that was called back due to a penalty.

    SCBullsfan - That would be a great schedule if Grothe had 6 years of eligibility.
