  1. Beastie, I agree with you. Pat is going to have to prove to me he is worthy, I am just conveying what I heard from a friend of CJL.
  2. I can't believe we had a 6 page discussion on the uniform/helmet. We must be really bored!
  3. Mike, I heard that we all might be surprised at Pat's progress this year. He might even look like a QB. If he can actually come through for us, I think that would be great. Now, I have only heard this from one person, but he is pretty close to CJL. All I'm saying is that PJ might have used the off-season and last year's criticism to better himself. I guess we will see very soon.
  4. So, it could be Alabama all over again? That would stink. Anyway, I like all the theories and matchups and analysis, but I also can't wait to see them strap it on and get between the lines! Then we'll see how this all plays out. Hopefully USF gives them 60 minutes of Bull football.
  5. I too will be attending all the home games plus Miami. I may do the UConn game but that is up in the air. That would be more of a family trip since my wife is from up there.
  6. Did anyone else know about this possiblity?  We were still in the dark about the time, I thought, but now maybe it is getting closer to being set.
  7. This sounds like a great time. I will definitely try to be there. Thanks for the post.
  8. I have to pick one? I guess the chance to beat Lousville since they are being predicted to win the BE. Even if we do bad, would love to be a blemish on their record.
  9. There's a new Hampton Inn in Ybor city. I think they have a transport van. I know the Hyatt on the Courtney Campbell Causeway has a van. They will pretty much give you a ride anywhere (not Clw. Beach), even Ybor.
  10. Well said Brad. I guess you had a lot of time on your hands to write this.
  11. I will definitely agree with that. This is a long time coming. Hopefully he has some money to spend to actually market the pogram.
  12. Exactly my point Mike. Why wasn't this position posted on this board? I guess I see everyone's point but I have been involved in a USF hiring and being a USF grad is a big bonus and sometimes the asset that swings the vote. But I guess this is different than a campus administrative position. I have not questioned Woolard's decisions, I just wondered some things, that's all. Of course, we all know that we don't get to know all the inner goings-on at USF so we don't even know if a USF grad had a shot at this position.
  13. I gotta admit, it is hard. But I rooted for the Bucs since their inception and I liken Namoli to Culverhouse. As soon as someone comes along and spends money, the Rays will turn it around just like the Bucs. Hopefully it won't take them as long.
  14. Although I won't jump to conclusions yet, I do agree with you Terry that the position should have been filled by a USF grad.
  15. Looks like the word spread fast. That $118 RT is sold out. Only the cheap return flights to Tampa are available. Cheapest RT is now $220.
  16. Yes, Brad, Madagan is still there. I read an article that made that same comment.
  17. Not that I want to take anything away from Brad's shop but I found some really good deals at the Sports Fan Attic today at the Westshore Mall. They were clearing out USF merchandise, I guess to make room for the 2005 merchandise, at half-price. They had the nice addidas polo shirt on sale for I think around $20 but of course since everything is on clearance, the sizes are limited.
  18. I know the bullbackers will be joning forces with the pinellas alumni aa and we will be watching games at Capogna's Dugout in Clearwater. I believe some of the hillsborough bullbackers might set up shop in hillsborough. Dunno. ??
  19. The annual fees are $40 now and yes there is an on-line code for the discount (10 %) as well as other discounts. http://www.usfalumni.net/memberRewards.htm
  20. ChiTown, there are chapters all over the US. And According to the alumni web site, www.usfalumni.net, there is a chapter in Chicago. Whether it is active or not I do not know but Merrell Dickey with the AA should be able to tell you. You can reach him at mdickey@admin.usf.edu.
  21. I am both. In fact, I am the President of the Pinellas County Chapter. I went to USF St. Petersburg and did not really get involved but have definitely gotten involved now with my local chapter and USF in general. Being a member keeps you involved with local alumni events and being a season ticket holder keeps you updated (before others) on athletics. I have the best of both worlds and will keep giving $$ to both as long as I can.
  22. That's what I was thinking Howie. Either person is a good choice. Glad to see USF players coming back to help out the new guys.
  23. Collin, check for my donation. It is under my wife's name, Holly, with our correct address.
  24. Collin, if there is a tournament I am sure there are sponsors, right? What kind of sponsorships are available? Maybe someone on the board might be able to help out there also (unless the deadline has passed).
  25. the outback bowl has been moved to Jan 2nd. Apparently there is a rule that when the NFL sunday falls on Jan 1 the college bowl games are moved to Jan 2. It has happened a couple of times before.
