  6. Yes, an elaborate hoax to goad you into saying something positive...it didn't work.
  7. That sort of makes him "not the greatest" then. I just got two books in the mail from a family member...an old baseball guy.  They couldn't have been on two more different players. One is Clemente  The Passion and Grace of Baseball's Last Hero the other is: Game of Shadows  Barry Bonds, Balco, and the Steroids Scandal That Rocked Professional Sports

  10. If anyone is interested in joining the fray on eBay, the SouthFloridaBulls.com eBay page (linked above) now includes a listing of current Andre Hall offerings. http://www.southfloridabulls.com/Other%20Bull/Bulls%20on%20eBay.htm
  11. Normal, I saw all three play, but of course, at a different level of competition. I can buy Redden and Kitchen at the top of your list - I pondered their inclusion in my comments, but Donzel Rush? I don't see that at all. Come on teach, I have to ask, did you do your undergrad at USF?
  12. 05/20 11:30 a.m. BSB @ West Virginia* The Bulls try to make the Big East tournament, to do so they must win today at WVU. They won the first game of the series and lost the second.... It's Do or Die time for the BaseBulls. Please use this thread for in-game updates and commentary. If you have an audio or GameTracker link, please post it...
  13. Big game today for the Bulls... The official site, gousfbulls.com, has the audio in the Press Pass feature. Please use this thread for in-game updates and commentary.
  14. Yeah, I was just having fun...shoulda put a smiley. One thing I do know is I couldn't lift up the fish (or the QB) myself, so I'll shut my yapper!!
  15. Yeah, those were the days... On one hand...going to the NCAA for the last time in our young history with a 19-10 record... On the other hand, Gary's final two seasons were in the Sun Belt and the Metro. Gary was a fun player to watch, but I'll take our early struggles in Big East play over the Sun Belt and the likes of Jacksonville, Old Dominion, VCU and WKU. Even the watered down Metro a year later. Not putting down what those Bulls accomplished in their era, but I think you take that team and put them in the Big East this year and your complaints are against Bobby Paschal and not Robert McCullum. It's two different eras. While we were able to reach the NCAAs in much weaker conferences, I would not trade our current situation for that ever. To do so would be going backwards...

  18. Should be a.m. according to the schedule at the official site....
  19. Best dunker was Hakim Shahid followed by Gary Alexander - or the other way around - it really doesn't matter. Both put it down with authority. Best Center? That's a tough one...Seeing that we haven't really had a lot of true centers in the typical center type body....I guess I would have to go with recent memory also and say Will in his senior year...although the two gents I mentioned above did quite despite being shorter than a typical center.
  20. No. 22 Carolina Falls To No. 25 USF, 2-1 UNC is 48-18.  May 19, 2006 GAINESVILLE, Fla. --- No. 22 North Carolina fell into the loser's bracket of the Gainesville Regional with a 2-1 loss to No. 25 South Florida Friday afternoon at Florida Softball Stadium. Carolina will now face the loser of Florida and Florida Atlantic Saturday afternoon at 2:30. For the fifth time in their last six games, the Tar Heels (48-18) allowed their opponent to score in the first inning. After a hit batter and two walks loaded the bases with one out, Krista Holle blooped an 0-2 pitch off the right field line for an RBI single. Starter Crystal Cox then struck out Ashley Bullion for the second out of the inning. But another hit batter forced home a run, giving the Bulls a 2-0 lead before UNC came to bat. Carolina threatened for the first time in the second. Breanna Brown led off with an infield single, and Joslin Higgins' sinking liner fell for a double to put two on with no one out. But the Tar Heels were unable to capitalize, as Erin Dudley grounded out to short, pinch-hitter Alyssa Francona struck out and pinch-hitter Lisa Norris popped out. After Cox (27-9) retired the Bulls in order in the third, UNC finally broke through. Casey Testa, who had not homered since April 8 at Boston College, sent a 2-1 pitch over the wall in center field to cut the USF lead in half. Jennifer Jacobs then worked a 10-pitch walk, ending the day for USF starter Bree Spence. But reliever Cristi Ecks limited the damage, recording three quick outs on a sacrifice and a pair of strikeouts to end the inning. Ecks (22-11) proved to be the difference. The freshman right-hander pitched five scoreless innings and allowed just one baserunner on a sixth-inning walk to Higgins. Cox struck out six in the losing effort, moving to 1,999 career strikeouts. With one more punchout, Cox will become the 18th player in NCAA history to reach 1,200 strikeouts. Story Link
  21. Courtesy USF SID Office Four-Run Fourth Inning Leads To 5-3 Loss For USF  MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (May 19, 2006) – A four-run inning by the Mountaineers in the bottom of the fourth proved to be the difference as the University of South Florida baseball team (23-33, 11-15 BIG EAST) fell to West Virginia (35-19, 14-12 BIG EAST), 5-3, on Friday, May 19 at Hawley Field. 22. True... But if, god forbid, say a trio (using the term loosely) of alleged Bulls were to have a house fall on them in the midst of a terrible tornado, perhaps they could no longer be considered Bulls?  Could we get a right of refusal in these types of cases?  At least have an investigation? ;D
