CAAR proved to be masterful coach. He’ll put together a solid squad like he did this past season. Just stinks that continuity will never be a thing for the program.
Blame me. I put down my deposit for my first ever season ticket membership (moved back to the Bay since graduating many years ago) and then Selton announced he was leaving. Did I reopen the Indian Burial Grounds?
Chris is likely leaving for an NIL payday at a Power 5 school. Pryor will be next. Unsure about CAAR. All I know is nothing is certain.
Such is life in the G5. [Insert obligatory, “Thanks Judy”]
Yeah, his game seemed off in the last few games. Way too many circus takes to the bucket that he previously would’ve have kicked out if the opening wasn’t there.
I think missing Walker that game was big. He bodied up Jackson really well in the final game against Charlotte. UAB was hot from deep and we were very cold. Too many variables need not go our way. Feck UAB. They had our number in football and basketball this year.
It certainly seemed he learned his lesson. CAAR and CAG are top notch coaches. They are both quality coaches and clearly give a crap about their players, programs, and the University.
All are winnable. Some (Bama, Miami, and Memphis) are much tougher than others. I really want to return the favor to UAB and FAU. Those were very embarrassing losses.
I’d be shocked that Kasean would leave another program after he finally found a starting role. But the only thing I do know is that the portal giveth and the portal taketh. I trust CAAR to pull in the right talent no matter the situation.
Selton was a gun this year and a big reason why we succeeded but dude has to work on driving to the hoop with conviction. Too many soft takes. He’d more of a weapon if he can add a strong slash with the deep three in the same way CY has perfected his deep ball and mid-range game.
5 or 6 missed lay ups, 9% from three, and too much one on one street ball crap. Offense needs to harden the fark up.
CY, Hines, and Walker are the only ones strong enough to initiate contact going to the basket.
