  1. Excellent interview. I love how Rome just let Golesh talk about the program and his goals and not try to drive the interview too much.
  2. Former USF TE Jackson Long received an offer from Georgia Tech yesterday. On3.com has him 100% heading there, so he may have already accepted. If so he looks like the first out of our kids in the portal to commit somewhere. I don't believe Jimmy Horn has officially committed anywhere yet.
  3. Yeah, he would've rather had 'croots come to him or hoped his SB ring would draw them in. Plus, he would have to totally revolutionize his offense for the college game. He's a NFL coach, not fit for the college game at all.
  4. Lazy recruiting. The college grind isn't for everyone. That's probably why Jon Gruden would've been a terrible hire (amongst other reasons as well).
  5. Yes, you are correct, I guess I worded it poorly. He did mention it as an experience, but doing it as part of the NIL monies received.
  6. I like Grothe's example of getting a fishing charter with players as part of an outing and NIL activities. Who doesn't want to get paid to fish?!?!
  7. Not shocked. So many kids clamoring to get into Colorado now. Good on Jimmy though, with so many people to choose from, if he can be one the Buffs want in their building then that's saying something.
  8. Currently listed at 6-2 327, has a squatty body - could make a nice 0-tech if he's got the lower body strength and explosiveness. Looks like Orlando used a NT while at Texas and USC too. Kid is from Florida with lots of P5 offers coming out of HS. I doubt he'll have a shortage of suitors, but go big or go home baby!
  9. CAG definitely has the urgency to win and win now. He is bringing the energy and enthusiasm that we wanted, he's just packaged different. I can honestly say I was not on board at first, but I have done a complete 180. Still cautiously-optimistic and want to see on-field results, but CAG seems to have a well thought-out plan and I think we're lucky to have him.
  10. Look at that speed! "10.33 100m" EDIT: Looks like everyone is offering this kid right now.
  11. Yep, he's gonna be the "veteran" leader in the locker room. He's also going to show the guys how to eFile their tax returns and remind them to close the door to the IPF behind them cause "We're not trying to cool down the whole neighborhood!"
  12. Agree, also very happy to see him back. Guess Da'Quan is out of a job now.
  13. Also had offers from Tulane, Akron, App State & Army as a 'croot
  14. Well that's just something CAG will have to remedy for us.
  15. Honestly, the game is so offensive now that yards given up isn't nearly as important as preventing scores and creating turnovers. 20 years ago, I'd be all about his ypg, but the fact of the matter is offense's are gonna get their yards...especially in CFB. So if Todd Orlando can come in and prevent scores and create turnovers, but give up 400ypg, I'm fine with it.
  16. I am now thrilled with the result of "losing out" on Deion, because it allowed us to "win" CAG.
  17. If he snagged Tressel...WOW...that's a grandslam right there. That would be insane and an absolute get by USF! IF, IF it happens, I would think CAG has a LARGE assistant coach budget.
  18. This is a good find. Patrick is still following FAU according to his Twitter but his profile indicates no affiliation right now. Very well could be the guy at DC for us.
  19. Does this community ever do get-togethers for the Spring game or anything? I think that would be a great time to get vocal and show CAG we're with him in this turnaround.
