Obviously any guys he's bringing from Tennessee won't be new follows, but it's usually a decent gauge on how to cultivate a list of potential people. So if you have nothing to do the rest of the day...have at it!

And when Joey Knight said one of his sources compared him to CJL, I can see what he meant. At first I thought it was a BS comment trying to appease CJL supporters, but I think this is a guy who could be here for a loooong time and not jump at the first P5 overture he gets. You can call me crazy, but I just feel like this guy is humble enough and loves the opportunity enough that he would stay if he builds us into a annual CFP contender. That's what I have always wanted in a coach since CJL and I think he could be that kind of coach for us.

There was nothing mid-major about that PC. Dude has a plan for this program. I'm liking the hire more and more everyday.

I was wondering the same thing, b/c he said it was someone he tried to hire 2x's before. I guessing it may have been a situation where the HC asked him to reach out to gauge interest - I'm guessing it's someone he has a personal relationship with.

I agree. Has USF done things I've hated in the past? Yes. Am I annoyed that other schools have passed us in growth? Yes. Do I sometimes get down on the program and hate what we have become? Yes. At the end of the day though, I just want USF to run its own race. That's why I don't care if we play UCF anymore. I'm tired of trying to compare resumes with them. They got the P5 bid, it sucked, but they got it. I'm not gonna worry about them now. We can only play who is on our schedule and we can only have our football team win this conference. Everything else is a general waste of time. Hopefully CAG message is to run our race. Show the rest of the country what we are and start becoming the "noisy neighbors" and force the rest of the CFB world to take notice of us through our on-field success. Cause ******** and moaning about where we aren't, who didn't do what, etc. will keep us in the same place we're at now anyway. It solves nothing.

Specifically from Tennessee? I don't know. Trying to follow 247 portal site and still be productive at work while also catching the CAG intro presser @ 1130. EDIT: Other than Miles Campbell the other players entering today are WRs Jimmy Calloway & Jimmy Holiday. RBs Len'Neth Whitehead & Justin Williams Thomas. Holiday was a 3-star WR, the rest were 4-star recruits.

Only 13 snaps, thinking this would have happened either way, but with CAG in town gotta think a previous 'croot with 32 FBS offers could help this offense.

I know it's an irrational reason to be upset, but for whatever reason it just feels like they got one over on us lol...it's stupid I know and I am sure it has more to do with the roller-coaster of emotions and the dryhump the social media team gave us last week, but still felt the need to share. Don't hate the man, I am on board with the hire, but it is just a minor hangup that bothered me yesterday. Mercenary business or not, it stung a bit.

Benn lurking here for awhile, finally decided to register an account. I hate that I'm being so petty, but it really does piss me off that this guy was an assistant at UCF. I get coaching is a mercenary business, but for some reason that really bothers me. Add in the ZERO HC experience and I just don't like this hire. I don't hate the man, but I'm not going to get excited until I see something, but this just feels like going to Prom with your 4th-5th choice.
