  1. Dude you've gotta give it up. Baseball since Billy was hired has been a loser, outside of ONE postseason which we are all grateful for (also made the regional his first season as coach, so we can count that one). That super regional season we went 14-14 in conference play, finished 6th, then ended up winning the tournament which was our only way to get into a regional. He's been to regionals twice, and finished last in the conference 3 times and the overall regression line is negative, which means we are getting worse. First year, second in conference (14-9-1), regional appearance, 34-26-1 overall Second year, 8-16, last in conference, 26-27 overall Third year, COVID year, no conference play, 6-11 overall Fourth year, sixth in conference, 14-14, super regional (first ever, super cool), 31-30 overall Fifth year, last in conference, 8-16, 28-29 overall Sixth year, last in conference, 7-17, 21-39 overall This year, currently 7-5 in conference sitting in third, 21-16 overall. Looks better than previous years and hopefully we can catch fire again. Unfortunately "catching fire" is the only hope for CBM lead squads at USF. They just aren't coached well. All that said, Bulls Tennis vs #1 seed Memphis today at 3pm. I think these should be on ESPN+, so tune in (same with Women's tennis at 1pm against Rice).
  2. I think I could shoot better than 39% from the FT line. Hope that's a misleading stat. Even 50% from the FT by a single player can lose you a game when they're targeted late by the other team. Hopefully it never comes to that!
  3. Wonder if Karter's NIL offer would stand for someone like Johnell Davis.
  4. TBF, we have had Wake Forest level of fan support over the last decade, having to rely on OOC bigger programs to sell the stadium (UF/FSU/Bama/etc). If we were selling 40-50k tickets per game in that same time, we'd be building a 40-50k seat stadium. It's an unfortunate reality. Donate, buy season tickets, go to games, and we'll be expanding in no time.
  5. I would reach out to FAC and have that discussion with them to make the best decision for you (and the collective).
  6. My guess is we'll be picked preseason 3rd or 4th in American. Memphis UAB USF
  7. He reads the internet. USF fans have been incredibly down following the news of the transfers. He isn't blind, and he is engaged with us more than any coach I can remember. He cares.
  8. ACC only has 1 pro-rata addition from what others have said (4 in contract, 3 used already). So if they lose FSU/Clemson, would they only be able to add 1 at pro-rata or are those two seats considered vacant, therefore they will have 3 open full-share additions? I guess the answer to that is "nobody except the ACC knows", trade secrets and all that jazz, but I think it's just as good of a chance that the ACC adds 0 as much as it is they'll add 1, which are both more likely than if they add >1. Unless of course those pro-rata shares are available, and they offer half-shares and increase payouts to existing members, etc. There are so many possibilities. Speaking of tv contracts, everyone thinks the B12 will just add whoever they want all willy-nilly if the ACC opens up. Well, they spent their 4 pro-rata additions on the 4C schools, and would need at least one of Fox/ESPN to agree to pay more money for ANY additions to the conference between now and the next tv contract in 2030/31. Speaking of Utah, who did not sign the membership agreement (which basically just secures exit-fees contracted to members, it's not the GoR or some Texas-based blood oath and really shouldn't be discussed much), it is important to remember that they were given a full-share of TV revenue from the B12 (as did each of the 4C additions). So for the ACC to attract them, they will also need to offer a full share at the very least. You know who was not offered a full tv share? Calford/SMU. As much as Utah (and probably ASU) might make sense for the ACC long-term, there's very little chance that the ACC can provide a home for them unless they can convince ESPN to cover the costs of adding them.
  9. For those of you who disagree with the idea of NIL, there are still plenty of places to contribute to USF! I don't know the extent of this "commemorative ticket", but I do know that being a part of getting this built is something that I might have regretted down the line. Hope everyone else here can help contribute -
  10. I don't like these twitter personalities anymore than the next guy, but this sounds more insider than speculative, so I'll share. Read thread - Couple of thoughts: 1. ESPN has always been the lynchpin here, not the ACC nor FSU/Clemson/whoevertheflavoroftheweekiswhoisgoingtoleavetheACC 2. Hard to see a situation where ESPN will threaten the existence of the ACC if they do not "allow FSU/Clemson" to leave by settlement. That's like saying they value those two properties more than the other soon to be 15.5 in the ACC. That seems like a stretch. 3. I do think ESPN will want to preserve FSU/Clem by moving them to SEC over letting the B1G poach them, so this much makes sense. 4. ESPN cannot just move properties to the B12, as those TV interests are split with FOX. They will need FOX to also approve pro-rata, which is very possible, but ESPN does not control that decision itself. It's also possible that this is a long-term play anyways, especially since ESPN/FOX have been working on their JV streaming platform. 5. Also think ESPN will not renegotiate the ACC contract to a lower contracted rate for 2027. Seems a bit greedy to say we have to move these properties, and you're going to accept the terms, and we're going to pay you less. Then again, they hold the strings. The ACC contract was already largely considered undervalued, so it would be interesting to see if there is a renegotiation what it will come out to be. 6. Again, the message is the ACC does not have the grounds and will implode. This IS B12 rhetoric and is being applied to these posts to an extent. 7. And last but not least - FSU going to the SEC has been and will always be in USF's best interest. So this is good news, if it can be considered news at all.
  11. Great outing by Madonna. Wish we could have got to the starter earlier but a win is a win. Tough weekend at Tulane coming up.
  12. Wonder what the process would be for USF to add a law school. Imagine UF/FSU would not take too kindly to that request, but politics aside, would that ever be a good move for USF? I'm not too familiar with the political sides of these things, but USF adding more specialized (and even mainstream) majors could be cool - Full-time MBA program Dentistry school Optometry school Additional engineering schools (Materials, nuclear?, computer hardware, aerospace, marine, robotics, etc.)
  13. My guess is Karter follows Cal to Arkansas. I doubt he remains committed to UK. I do think this slightly opens the door for USF - however slim (5%? 10%? 25%?), but a nonzero chance.
  14. An 0-16 NFL team would beat the college national champion from the same season like 60-10 lol.
  15. If they hire Nate Oats from Alabama, then yes I can see CAAR being interested in that opening.
  16. USF should have picked up some decent winter points from track and field. D1 winter sports points have not been published yet, although DII/DIII have. Maybe D1 releases after the NCAAT finishes?
  17. Put it in paid tailgate areas. Porta pottys are going to be a necessity across campus too as fans will (should) not have access to student/educational buildings.
