It's not just US it's the G5 as a whole. They say "schedule a more difficult ooc schedule" easier said than done. Top tier P5 teams have nothing to gain by playing a top tier G5 team. G5 in conference schedules aren't hard enough and top P5 programs won't play top G5 programs. Do you get what I'm saying? No G5 team will EVER pass the "eye test".

Or maybe it means, even if we blew out every opponent by 30, then we still wouldn't pass the "eye test" because of SOS. It's a cop-out term used by P5 homers to keep smaller programs down. We will never pass the "eye test" with the system that's in place today.

If I hear "eye test" one more time I'm going to lose my mind. Eye test = bias towards P5. Whatever a G5 team accomplish's won't pass the Ivory Tower's "eye test". F'em go Bulls

With all due respect, I don't see how you can say that the defense played great. Third and fourth down are the only Downs that matter on the field. If you convert on 3rd or 4th, then Downs 1 and 2 (3) are insignificant. Keeping the ball out of Houston's hands was the only shot that we had at winning this game. Our defense folded on big downs and let their offense stay on the field. This alone cost us the game.

So I saw the 3rd 4th down stats for Houston. They converted 15-20... I know we were against a top offense in the nation, but we can't get rolled on 3rd down and expect to walk away with a W. The frustration was obvious on the field, so I hope the defense got a reality check and are able to make the necessary changes.

On a side note, for everyone that thought Strong was out after this season... Guess what? CCS is here to stay like it or not!

I know we're not the best defense in the league, but if I can call plays that the opposing offense is running and our D does nothing to adjust, there's a serious problem. I am not a Football Genius by any stretch of the imagination. But for God's sake, if I could see it coming, then...

Enough already, the whole national champs thing was cute at first but that horse has been beaten bloody. NO ONE IN THE NATION SEES UCF AS NATIONAL CHAMPS. Yes, technically you are in the record books, but it's buried so deep in the 200ish page document that you need an electron microscope to find it. Congrats, UCF won a self-proclaimed consolation prize... Not bad for not playing a full season in 2017. Do me a favor and Google NCAA college football national championship. One could argue that last year's record was xcwt's team... I still think CCS needs more time in the chair before another Pee 5 program goes after him. Next season will tell a lot about CCS.

I completely agree, however the past is the past and unfortunately I don't see a life without UCF anytime soon. Most (if not all) of the 2022 conference realignment projections have USF and UCF in the same conference. In my opinion, the only thing that could change this would be a major scandal at UCF (which I pray for every night) that sets their program back 10 years.
