  1. I think the first step to success is to stop using the victim mentality. There were lots of barriers, but it still doesn't make going 0'fer FBS ok. You don't have to call for his head to say we should have been better and move forward from there.
  2. Honestly and with all due respect, I am not confused at all. There is not excuse for a coach to have had the amount of time he and his staff have had to observe and evaluate these players and not know what he has and what they can do. Doesn't mean things would never change and that he doesn't, but honestly the idea that we need 4 regular season games to decide who our #1, #2, and #3 qb's are .... is ridiculous. If that is what he is saying
  3. Coaching was 100% a factor in winning zero FBS games last year. Was there other factors? Of course, but if he and his staff do a better job coaching 2-3 wins should have definitely been a reality. The talent discussion is ridiculous. We didn't have jv high school guys on. roster and we weren't competing in the SEC, it's the aac for crying out loud. Coach up your players and go out and win some games. Now, I'm not out on a ledge screaming for CJS' head, but enough of the excuses. He is getting paid to coach the team up. As said several times before, I will reserve judgement until after the conference slate this year.
  4. Not so much a question on my part as an observation. Being indecisive is not a good trait for a head coach and there seems to be some of this in CJS
  5. One can only hope https://www.amazon.com/Otter-Pops-Ice-Strawberry-Lemon-Lime/dp/B005LUREEO/ref=asc_df_B005LUREEO/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=312140299152&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=7568906425222452948&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9012069&hvtargid=pla-568367362731&psc=1
  6. They probably should have been yes, but they weren't. Agree that he should get this season especially the conference games
  7. He was constipated ... now feels much better ....
  8. @BullyPulpit Good analysis overall. I agree with some of the coaching adjustments in general and I think we have beefed up the talent level. Not sure how we come up with a grade of B though at this point. As someone else pointed out, we haven't won a game against an FBS opponent to date. I expect that to change this season, but still. Can't see a B with that hanging over his head. I've said that we need to see what we do against the conference slate before we really know what we got going on.
  9. No problem with this. I get the bringing along slowly and making sure he is ready. But now we start McClain and Fortin seems to be 3rd string as we put in Marsh to "get some reps". Seems like a cluster not a plan to get McClain ready to be the man whenever he is ready.
  10. This is true. He was brought along slowly and took his lumps. I just don't know what we are doing here. "Fortin's the starter, McClain is the starter, not committed to McClain the starter, need to get Marsh reps, still looking at what these guys can do," etc. Just seems to be thrown to together without a real plan. Hopefully it all works out for the better
  11. Forgot about Ga Tech, but yeah they may be sorting things out after losing Lawrence. Still not a constant decline since CJS left. More like big decline when Lawrence left
  12. This isn't the first sign. Marsh mainly handed the ball off so you didn't really see much. He should know what each guy can do and what the Plan A, B, and C is already. That's my take. Doesn't mean it all won't work out in the end. I said before performance in the conference will be a much better indicator of where we are
  13. I know people that sit in that section and have for years that have Club Access. Maybe grandfathered in? Maybe donor level? Not sure
  14. Really? They averaged around 40 points a game last year and Lawrence threw for over 3K last season. They were outscored in the semifinal game last year. They did get stifled by UGA to open this year, but pounded their patsy last week by a score of 49-3 It's obvious we have different definitions of "constant decline" down here in Florida.
  15. It would be great if we could break this "tradition" of getting beat by FBS teams
  16. This is one helluva point. If you can be "out coached" by CCS, you can be "out coached" by anybody.
  17. Yeah I saw that. I don't know how he is going to truly 100% if it really was a problem last week.
  18. This level of indecisiveness is going to be his downfall
  19. That's been my concern all along I can only assume we will need a few games to figure that out
