If our baseball great has a nickname from a basketball great that is not a good sign. Just joking. The best think about this team is the way they have bounced back in almost every series this year. I expect the same today.
We really need him today.

All pitchers we face are awesome on Fridays...ours?....not so much...
Heuer battled all night managed to spread our ten hits out to get minimal damage. He did more than win tonight.

I got to admit. Bohm is impressive.

I don't like the fact that we let this guy stay through 8 possibly 9. The last thing we needed to do was give their pen the night off.

Now 10-2. Wichita State has no business putting up this many runs against us
It could be a theme for tonight. I don't see CBM going to the top relievers tonight.

A J Puk is a fair comparison. We just don't have Dane Dunning to make up for it.

Meanwhile looks like we will lose another opening series game.
Depressing pattern isn't it?

We got enough outs to swing our way back into this game. Just gotta get hot. Lets go Bulls!

A top 10 pick shouldn't have a 6+ era in AAC conference games.
I agree.

Very little control and nothing special outside of a fastball.
true, his change up in pretty good, but only effective if his fastball is in the zone. I heard at one point tonight that he 34 for 60 on strikes thrown... Just not gonna cut it.

This guy is our "ace?" Yikes!
no, he's not a complete pitcher yet. Just a great prospect with stuff. He just can't throw enough strikes to be an Ace, he's just who we throw on Friday.

I think it would help attendance .... almost impossible not to .... but would it help it enough for ownership to start acting like a legit mlb franchise.
I could see a temporary boost in numbers but once the new wears off I dont' know there would be much difference.

Definitely brutal honesty ....although, typical ESPN, just highlighting the "juicy" part of Longo's conversation. While he may think that leaving the overall TB area might be best, he did have thoughts about staying, but a move to Tampa a necessity.
If there is going to be a new stadium built in the Tampa Bay area, Longoria said his "good answer and realistic answer" is it definitely should be on the Tampa side.
But he did not agree with the Ybor City site that has been identified as the top choice.
"I think they should move across the street from Raymond James (Stadium, on Dale Mabry Highway),'' he said. "They should build a stadium that looks just like Houston, or very similar to (Minute Maid Park, which has a retractable roof). You can't play outside there (in Tampa Bay), it has to be a retractable. And obviously it should be grass. If you can do it in Houston you can do it in Florida – you can grow grass in Florida indoors.

Longoria also mentioned the Jeff Vinik-controlled Channelside area of Tampa as an intriguing option. He did not suggest any potential out-of-market destinations if the team, which is signed to play at Tropicana Field through 2027, were relocated.
"I think it has to move to Tampa,'' Longoria said. "If you're staying in the area, it has to move somewhere over there.''
WDAE had Topkin on this morning, which who I think I had the conversation with Longo, but he said the tone of the conversation made it seem like he wasn’t trying to talk down on the Rays just that he was giving his honest opinion.

It is an issue. Especially for teams that lack any history or tradition. I do agree that a new stadium will not fix the issue (attendance that is) . I just wonder is the new stadium will change their philosophy

Evan Longoria: Does anyone want to play in front of 10,000 a night?
Giants infielder Evan Longoria, who left Tampa Bay in a trade to San Francisco in December, says the Rays would probably be better off leaving Tampa Bay, too.
"Honestly, and this is maybe not something I should say, but my gut tells me that the best decision might be to move the team," Longoria told the Tampa Bay Times on Thursday. "I say that only because I look at the example of the Miami Marlins, and [a new stadium] didn't really solve their attendance issues. So from purely an attendance standpoint, somewhere else might be better.
"It pains me to say that, but players want to play in a place where you have consistent support. It's a selfish thing to say probably as a player, but I don't know, does anyone really want to play in front of 10,000 a night?"

seems like South Carolina decided to be a pro about the early part of the season.
I would like to see them in the tourney.

Just watched the replay. Wow.
What a wicked hop that last hit took. Heartbreaking loss for the mutts, but the BULLS are victorious!!!!!!!!!
Survive and advance.
Go Bulls! Beat Memphis!
Yeah, we got a bad one at short the half inning before. Great win, hard fought on both sides. It went past my bed time so I was in and out towards the very end. Just can't hang like the old days.

Another lefty-lefty switch as Parker comes back to the mound.
I have only been able to watch the extra innings but both of them have been spot on so far and doing really well handling the starting and stopping. Although I'm sure that is something they are used and I just cant wrap my head around it.
