Meanwhile Kilgore for WSU is in a grove now
Yep. only one free pass in three innings. He is making us work for runs for sure.

Which just happened. 5 innings of work.

He is doing fine today, in the end we need some friggin runs. These 9:00am games...
Yeah, he has managed to get out of it thus far.
But the game doesn't start until he inevitably leaves the game.

But...96 pitches through 4 innings...
there is a side to it that is a little impressive. Just would rather it impressive the other way.
I love the fact the Bohm is a first pitch swinger. Plays right into Shane's hands.

85 pitches and only 1 run allowed through 3 innings, that might be some sort of record.

Looks like WSU is treating this as bullpen day. Had relievers going in both of the first two innings.

Alec Bohm is good at baseball.
You're going to be very surprised, then. Baseball scouts could not care less about his college production.
Yeah, they will look at what they can do with his raw talent.
I still see him in the bullpen at the next level.
And yes, Alec Bohm is very good at baseball. Has an intimidating presence in the box as well.

WSU's pitcher is making his first start of the year today and only has 18 innings for the season.
Just saw that, I guess they are giving Heuer the afternoon game. They could be banking on having good run support this game based on what they did to us in the regular season
-
Ump isn't gonna give him borderline strikes anymore.
-
We knew we were gonna have to swing the bats today. Just gotta survive the early innings.

Correct. Also, if the weather is questionable for later in the day during the tournament they will use the playing fields around the stadium to play simultaneous games.
Yeah, I think will take as many measures as possible to get the games played

Just need Houston to lose early and then have downpours for the rest of the week.

My lord thin skin. I didn't create the emojis. I guess I could continue to point out how ridiculous it is to complain about a guy throwing 6 innings of 0-1 ER ball. I chose the more humorous, lighthearted route
It just didn't seem necessary. along worth all the comments about Shane supposedly stealing my girlfriend (which has come up multiple times). i'm also not the only one who feels Shane needs to be better, just the only one you seem to want to "joke" with. You should probably only do that with people you know personally.

There's nothing personal in that post.
Then what's the purpose? It seems directed at me and not really providing anything towards the discussion itself.

So when are we going to get past the point of just taking personal shots at me?

He's certainly capable of a lights out effort.
......for six innings. I like Pete in game two as well

That is all we can really hope for.

I wonder if it's not him being gassed as much as stressing that repaired elbow. There were some whispers last year about limits on his usage.
Very true, his injury history doesn't favor that type of use. It's would also suggest that hasn't built the type of stamina to do that either.
Has he ever thrown this many innings before?
Update: Answer, yes last season he threw ten more innings than he has to this point, I think CBM just considered everything and decided SM would best if he rested.

One, two, three inning on five pitches. Time to get this game going with some momentum.
