  1. Why wait till after early signing day? Who is going to sign not knowing for certain who will be coaching?
  2. I'm a '94 Alumni, so before the football era. My son is a Sophomore Engineering Student. We attended the games when the kids were young and fell off as they began playing sports (football and volleyball) and I began coaching which ate up most Saturdays. Now that they are older, we have been Season ticket holders again for 4 years. My son's first week, USF had a rally where they learned the fight song, cheers, alma mater, etc and posed for the new student aerial U photo. He has a really hard time getting his buddies from the engineering dorm to attend the games with him but has had some limited success. We began tailgating this year to help, and he and his girlfriend have been able to get more students to come out for the tailgate. Distance to the stadium is an issue but the free parking for students with 4 or more in the car helps. The buses leave the game so quick that the students cannot stay to sing at the end or congratulate the players. This really irritates me as this peer support means more to the players than anything. We are in section 109 and we all stand during 3rd down and for touchdowns but most fans there are parents of players or older fans like (50-60). Tradition is what you are missing and the University is apparently more interested in Ambition over Tradition.
  3. Same here. We fish away game weekends. Red tide has been awful this year but we just hit the lake and tube. Buying a used boat is not an issue if you know boats. If Strong stays, I’ll just be boating/fishing more and letting my tickets go.
  4. Watch the sidelines. Notice the body language. No eye contact, looking down. No enthusiasm. The players don’t seem to buy into the program. Watch the benches during the next home game. You will see the same.
  5. These players were probably pushed harder and coached better in HS than what they are getting from Gilbert and Jean-Mary. Don’t think that they don’t see what we do. Most of them have been playing since they were 6-8 years old. They know what a good coach looks like.
  6. Exactly. Strong coached - Strong recruited. Offense scored enough to win the game had the defense been able to stop anything.
  7. NO excitement or enthusiasm from coaches at all. I sit in row k at RJ and the coaches are blah... Geriatric coaching. The coaches have a J.O.B., not a drive to succeed!! These young players need charisma and hype. They need to have fun playing the game they love. Otherwise they check out. Look at Houston sideline vs ours.
  8. Exactly! Horrible coaching of poor recruits. Strong is not strong!
  9. If he was a good recruiter then our Freshmen secondary wouldn’t suck!
  10. Gilbert chokes in the red zone and defaults to the safe play. Ball-less wonder.
  11. Houston is hyped and pumped and ready to play. Leaders like Oliver to get behind. Bulls acting like their coach Fred Sanford. Where is the enthusiasm and drive??
  12. Missed tackle, missed tackle, missed tackle. Basics of football.
  13. UCF got jump by Florida who didn’t even play this week! Its just a rigged popularity contest.
