  1. LOL!!!!!! If he declines USF would never hear the end of it. We'd be the laughing stock of the NCAA. Sorry not interested in that gamble.
  2. No one here knows what's going on. I doubt any of us are in the room. It aint over till the media gets it wrong a few times.
  3. Coach Strong: I'm headed to my hotel room to take a little nap. If I wake and theirs a briefcase full of money, you've got a Head Coach. If not, I'll be on my way. AD Harlan: What color briefcase?
  4. As long as that plain stays put, we're ok.
  5. Ok, I've got this. Someone slip the Limo driver a few bucks and have him drive to Mons. I'll be there waiting with my camera and a video recorder. We can do this!
  6. If true, it isn't a good sign. Still not a no but, not good either.
  7. My apologies. Someone earlier had posted to the effect that this was the hold up. I thought you were agreeing with them.
  8. I suggest you find a complete copy of his contract because, what is there doesn't preclude him working for any particular school. It only stipulates that he must return 50% of the proceeds earned yearly. for the specified years.
  9. That does not specify what teams he can or can't work for which is what I was referring to.
  10. The devil is in the details however, they terminated him. That being said, the manor in which he is being paid already addresses further employment. As to whom he may be employed by, they can not restrict. Had he self terminated then a No-Compete-Clause would be binding.
  11. I'm sorry but, Texas canned the man. They have no legal right to execute a "No-Compete Clause" which is what has been referred too. I'm calling BS now and will sit quietly on the side lines.
  12. Dude that is a definite win. It also shows that both are flexible and taking this seriously. I'm so stoked.
  13. look, the man didn't fly here just to turn us down. Honestly, some people here just can't help themselves.
  14. If Strong takes the DC job at UO then he wasn't going to be successful at USF anyway. You have to have a certain amount of pride and balls to be a Head Coach. Taking a DC job amounts to tucking your tail and hiding. I wish Charlie Strong to remain STRONG and make the obvious choice.
  15. I understand it. I just can't quite grasp it yet.
  16. Toot all day and toot all night. Show the Doctor your bruises and give him a terrible fright!
  17. He is to USF football what Captain Kirk was to the USS Enterprise. He is the JIM!!!!
  18. Listen, I'm Catholic and believe in second chances. I also live in the real world. Just by Levitt returning to USF, it would be implied that someone on Fowler Avenue was wrong and that Levitt was right. Even without saying anything, his return would imply just that. Knowing the Ego's involved, it isn't going to happen.
  19. I'm thinking there is a strong possibility that Strong comes to USF. We all know that Kiffin and Shiano weren't going to be brought in here. Les Miles isn't going to coach this year. So our list goes to Strong, Scott and Weist. I believe that Strong would benefit from the current situation at USF the most. USF is a team that is fully loaded in all skill positions and has a schedule that could make most coaches 13-0 next year. Further more, with our current roster, we have the players to put together 3-4 10 win seasons back to back. That would leave strong with the Legacy of building a Dynasty at USF. His failure at Texas would be forgotten. His reputation would be restored and he'd be ready to listen to the highest bidder. Just my thoughts on the subject.
