Absolutely it can come down to coaching decisions but more often than not, it's the player's "decisions" that make or break a player's career. The game is an important but small part of what leads to a player's development and you have no idea what's going on away from game day. Both CJF and CBG have had enough success in their careers that I think I'll value their decisions/opinions a little more than yours ...... no offense.

What I post here are my opinions. I am not trying to convince you or anyone else of anything. So, I could care less what you believe. I am not going to respond to every post since I last posted; but, I will just say that some people came back with comments that actually support my points but they can't see it.

Second, I am amazed that people here cannot judge talent themselves. They trust what someone else does instead of having their own critical eye. I was laughed at and made fun of for saying that, based on the talent they have, the men's team would be very successful this season. I never wavered, despite the repeated hassle. Apparently, many of you can't judge talent for yourselves.

One more time. Aarnio doesn't shoot threes in practice. Whether she made some in highlight reels doesn't mean she's making them now.

I am 3 for 3 shooting three pointers at the practice center, at the Hartford center and at NC State. That doesn't mean you want to throw me on the court and count on me making one under duress.

And once again, it is not just a highlight reel. Aarnio came to USF with a career 3p% over 30%. I guess you are telling me that CJF sends players out and tells them to do what they want in practice. My bad, I was under the impression that he tells them what he wants them to practice. I guess I am wrong; he just sends them out and tells them to do whatever.

I guess Aarnio also decided to play armed robber defense, rather than the defense displayed on the highlight tape. Texas coach last year, in his USF pregame speech told his team to take good shots because we were not going to attempt to block anything because we only played armed robber defense. So, I guess Aarnio decided on her own to stop doing everything she did for years.

I wish people would go to Aarnio's USF bio for international experience and then ask themselves why she could score so well in so many games but does not take shots here. They would rather I believe that she has either forgotten how to shoot and score or she has lost the skill.

The defense in US college WBB may be a bit better - just a guess.  In shoot arounds she's practicing mid range. Don't think coach is telling her not to shoot 3s. Heck, Carla and the others were shooting 3s and I don't think coach wants her to shoot them in games. Wilson is shooting 3s at those practices and he doesn't wanting her shooting them. You are always right so no sense going round and round with you. And I'll ask again, what level coaching experience is your highest level - high school or college?

Actually, you did waver early in the season when they got off to a not so good start. Not willing to give CAAR the benefit of the doubt in how he was handling the thrown together team early on. I totally get that it was making your optimism about the year the team would have look kind of silly and you were looking for excuses.

I do not watch a lot of WBB.  I just watched that highlight reel, and she looks like she has a skill set.  Again I do not watch a lot of WBB, and I certainly do not watch a lot of international WBB.  I do know that CJF has had a lot of success recruiting international players, I have to trust that he brought her here for a reason.  I have to believe that she has not been able to become "comfortable" in this system against this competition.

I was there Saturday at Temple.

I don't second guess coaches as they are the ones who spend all the time with the players, they know what players are capable of, not me sitting in the stands.

We were getting destroyed, and on pace for under 30 points for the game. Shots weren't falling. We put in a defensive lineup. It 100% worked. That defensive minded lineup sparked the come back. Aarnio has developed into a defensive specialist. (if nothing else, you will keep seeing her at end of games when we sub offense/defense depending on the situation) There is a space for her on this team.

I think too often we are forgetting we had a world class scorer last year, and this year she is unexpectedly gone (except for 1 game). Having someone who can shoot like that makes everyone else look better on the court, it opens up looks, it just flat out helps.

They wll be fine, we all know this program reloads and wins.

No, I did not waver; I was critical of the lineups and rotations.

Never said I was always right. And I am not always right. I have said many times that I am giving my opinion. In giving an opinion, there is no right or wrong. Do not pass off your beliefs (you think that I think I am always right) on me. In fact, I was very wrong in my opinion that this team would be very good.

It was not just defense; in my eyes, the offense seemed to flow better and we starting scoring points.
