One of my favorite professors by far. Extremely intelligent, very humorous. He was so fun I almost changed my major from accounting because of him. He also had balls of steel and wasn't afraid to stick it to the administration when he saw it necessary.

I had him at 8AM for a class that went from 8:00 to 10:50 AM, it was so funny, 

The TA would come in, start a movie, after the movie we would get a break, then Dr. Karlins would come in and teach. I don't think I ever saw him in the first hour of the class all semester. I always thought, why do I have to get up and be here by 8 if the professor doesn't. But I did enjoy the class. 

I remember we saw Gung Ho, I can't remember what else. We didn't see Rudy, but that was back when Rudy was still new and not yet out on VHS.

One of the best professors I had. Remember watching Gung Ho and Flight of the Phoenix in his class.
