Taggart and Co., extended an offer to the 5-foot-9, 162-pounder, giving him three offers in the past two weeks. He also has Boston College and Northwestern. "I feel good. I'm happy, excited," Johnson said. "I really didn't even expect it today. I wasn't really in contact with them a lot, so it just kinda happened .. but yeah, I'm excited about it."

Freedom defensive back Nate Godwin, East Point (Ga.) Tri Cities offensive lineman Jeremi Hall, Tampa (Fla.) Hillsborough linebacker Nigel Harris, Clearwater (Fla.) Countryside defensive end Mike Love, Sarasota (Fla.) Booker defensive end Eric Mayes and Immokalee (Fla.) defensive tackle Deadrin Senat were all three-star prospects whom Woodie recruited. He got a commitment out of St. Petersburg (Fla.) Northeast Auggie Sanchez.
