Yeah I remember that...I was cheering for Jones to play! especially after he threw that pick on the 1 yard line...that was great

All i remember from last year is Anthony Richardson their QB. USF had no answer to stop him, he was so much better than the other guy (jones i think was their other QB). Other than Richardson I wasn't impressed with UF at all but then they went out the next week and played Alabama close. I don't know they look beatable to me, weaker team than BYU probably unless Richardson lights it up this year.

I looked at the roster this morning...Xavier Weaver is another guy like Mangham that was productive last year...in fact Weaver has been a bright spot for the last two seasons if i remember right

I remember Q Flowers and M Mack on those covers a few years ago. Who is the star of our team today T Mcclain? Honestly Brian Battie might be our biggest current star player. There's potential but none of our current players have done much. Maybe Jimmy Horn maybe Mangham or A Grier. I don't know. Who would you put on a magazine cover?

Those are the poorer schools in Texas, only question is will UT or A&M be the first team to 6 digits per player.
If the value of a barrel of West Texas Oil stays above $90 for a long time Texas schools will leave everyone in the dust on NIL.

One day this NIL stuff is gonna crash harder than the 2008 stock market...after half the D 1 teams fold because of it.

Best of luck to him to get due process in the era of social media....

I didn't realize coach T was struggling down at FAU. If he doesn't make it there he'll be a good OC/recruiter for somebody.

Houston and SMU have terrible attendance relative to recent success and facilities...

They looked at last year's 2-10 record and looked at the 2022 schedule and just copy-pasted last years predictions for last place. No surprises here.
If you read one USF Football prediction this year or last you've read them all ctrl-c ctrl-v.

Truth be told he simply was not very good here.
He was named the starter of the 2018 Garparilla Bowl and was pulled way early by CCS. I would've liked to see him play that whole game. I hope he makes it to the next level.

Good Article. Scott needs to win 2-3 games this year that he's not supposed to win. Last year he often did well against the point spread.
This year he has to win some of those close games.

I've been to a few Spring games and I have to admit I liked the ones at Corbett better than RayJay.
Spring game at RayJay with < 5000 people is terrible atmosphere, almost as bad as 2018 Gaparilla Bowl.

Anyone that has actually watched all our games, knows this game is unbettable.

That game was so awful in all phases, especially defense. No coach, player, or fan should rewatch any of that game video. Burn the tape and prep for the final game with a clear head.
Nothing constructive about that game video. Coach should throw it out the bus window on the way to the airport. Don't bring the stench of that game home.
On Tuesday, cut the coaches presser time to discuss upcoming game only. If CJS mentions this game i will fast forward that part and any part if DC Glenn Spencer speaks, not interested in hearing it.

USF covers...I'll take this bet

He needs to work on the long passes in the off season and study the situations where he's forced some throws. That first interception on Saturday was waay too risky.
But he could be a great one, no doubt.

This "dead money" issue with coaching contracts is beyond stupid. What's the incentive to work hard as a coach if you're guaranteed millions no matter what.
Why should any coach ever be guaranteed years of his salary if fired? Contract Buyouts are designed to retain successful coaches but that never works.
I can't think of a single time a contract buyout enabled a school to retain a good coach with better job offers but there are many horrible instances of schools on the hook for millions for firing deadbeat coaches. Good article.

10-15k attendance and we will lose by at least 2 TDs.
I'll be there and this is exactly what I'm expecting.

The only thing CJS can do to increase my confidence is recruit well this offseason. I'm not happy with the defense giving up 3rd and long or the big plays where we got toasted but I'm not ready to see anybody get fired. We need depth on the depth chart. Today we don't have enough of it and we need a coach who works his ass off to get the right players here.

Your question is quite legitimate as far as them being competitive like they used to be in the Big East. That said, their schedules for future seasons actually seem to be not too shabby.

Will UConn still have FB in 2028?

It would be nice to see Evans make a team pay for trying to toast him...we know he can jump a route...i want to see this version of Evans on Thursday...

Taggart interest in staying here fell off after the 2016 ECU game where he was 5-1 and < 14k actual people showed up for a noon game not to mention he didn't get along well w Mark Harlan...If we had MK at the time and better attendance he probably could have been convinced to stay...he was offered a big raise to stay and didn't flinch...He was frustrated for sure...and a bit impatient in my opinion.
