    Specifics?

Maybe I'm being too critical but it's little things mostly time mgmt. I felt like 20 seconds elapsed before the failed 3rd and 1 TD challenge. That was a rookie mistake to waste that timeout down 15 right there. Also it just seemed like we could have preserved at least 5 seconds between every snap on that last drive. Honestly it seemed to me like we had BYU on the ropes I don't buy for a second All those injuries BYU suddenly were having to slow the game down.TM was getting it done so would have been happy with more tempo there.

SMU is 4-0 with an excellent offense. I'm not so sure I see a defense that can pull it off.

TM showed he can orchestrate 6+ minute drives to keep an offense off the field so if the D can get some sacks or pressure to stall some of SMUs drives then it's winnable. I don't think we win a shoot out where both teams go Nickel D the whole game that's what SMU will want.

Sorry dude I am not drinking your sad elixir. This team is close, really close in turning the corner, we will be wining some games this year and plenty of games next year.

I'm objective not sad and my elixer is tasting good right now. I'd love to be proven wrong next week. I'll be at SMU and expect that our DBs will be tested but the real test is on our young coach. Next game is winnable.

  4. CJS coaches like a rookie when the game is close...he'd need JPP ,Q Flowers, and Mike Jenkins to win all his conf games...2-5 is his conf ceiling this year...he needs to grow into a better coach to win any conf...it might be the Irish whisky talking but he **** the bed tonight...we were good enough to win...if best is the standard then no one should be happy tonight

After two games we’ve seen a beleaguered defense that gets worn down cause they are playing 50 minutes a game.

Time of possession hasn't been that bad because we've given up the big plays (it feels like 50 minutes). That depleted defensive back field against all the pass happy high tempo teams coming up worries me. There's only one antidote for that:

I must be the only one who doesn't care for uniforms that are not USF colors... these are at least better than the lime green striped version from a couple seasons ago.

I'm not a fan of the neon slime looks. If it were up to me:

Home and Away would be just these:

  7. while the defensive execution has been putrid at times, we don't lack talent. If we can get our DBs to look for the ball before it's already over their heads and wrap their arms around ball carriers this team can win some games. FAMU will tell us nothing, glorified exhibition game for practice. I'm going to the SMU game...that's the real start to our season.

    • Tampa Bay Lightning Hype Man tries getting a green and gold chant going.  UF Fans basically boo loudly and pivoted into a Blue and Orange chant.

Yea that was guaranteed to be a disaster. There wasn't any green on that away side. They should've known just to let the band play or play music between plays. I normally hate how loud he is but he did us a solid a few times by talking over UF fans doing their gator chants

    Amazon stock price:

    1/21/99 - $53

    1/2/04 - $51.90

    Next idea?

I'm too lazy to check how many times AMZN stock split since 2004 but am guessing that purchasing of 10,000 shares in 2004 which could've been done with 250K in a stock margin account would be worth over 250 mil today and would buy us a stadium free and clear.

Stokes is not a good punter.

I was disapointed in his spot kicking abilities but he was definately told to kick every punt out of bounds. CJS must have seen something in our punt coverage or their kick returner that he didn't like.

But yea his punts were sailing out way early while the Aussie on the other side was kicking 50+.

  11. I'm glad I was at the game and saw the few positives because the game stats in the box score are awful (zero happiness there).

An opening 3 and out, a 4th and 1 stop even if UF shot them selves in the foot with ****** play calls were definately happy moments.

So much talk about undersized DL Line before the game but the glaring issue I see is our pass coverage needs to step up to help the DL line out.

Just wish Scott had taken a little more chances on 4th downs when we had momentum.

    Thoughts?

Yea especially since Mullen was going for it. When a coach punts on 4 and 3 down 20+ late in a game it proves they value moral victories...who cares if you fail at that point? UF had a 240 lb QB that easily ran 40+ on us...give him back the ball? Why?

I don’t think anyone is mad at them specifically about what happened more than 10 years ago they are mad at them for the portion they have been here and that from those moments things have been on a constant death spiral and are objectively the worst they have ever been. These are very nice people but from a results perspective they are the embodiment of failure.

And if the new president evaluates and determines to clean house of certain people so be it. There is some good people there but systemic failures are undeniable. How much of that failure is attributed to those that pulled the rip cord on golden parachutes...Im glad I'm not the person to figure that out.
