  1. Hey man, I'm just passing along the tweets for people here. I'm not reading all that.
  2. Brett McMurphy â€@McMurphyCBS RT @ChuckCarltonDMN: Neinas asked what he would do if Notre Dame called tomorrow asking to join. Neinas: "We'd accept the phone call" Brett McMurphy â€@McMurphyCBS Tomorrow? RT @kbohls: The Big 12 has not reached out to Florida State, Notre Dame or anyone; expansion talk is tabled "for near future." Brett McMurphy â€@McMurphyCBS The battle begins: Big 12 & SEC want top 4 ranked teams in playoff. Everyone else conference champs Brett McMurphy â€@McMurphyCBS RT @BlairKerkhoff: Neinas: "Big 12 in favor of 4 highest ranked teams by selection committee; strength of sked MUST be included" Brett McMurphy â€@McMurphyCBS Sorry FSU, Clemson, Louisville RT @Big12Conference: Neinas "The #Big12 Athletic Directors reaffirmed their commitment to 10 members."
  3. FSU won't be #1, maybe 3 or 4 at best. 1. USC 2. LSU 3. Alabama 4. Oregon 5. Oklahoma 6. Georgia 7. Florida St. 8. South Carolina 9. Arkansas 10. Michigan
  4. What do you not understand about board members here agreeing that there is stuff going on behind the scenes between some ACC schools and the Big 12? I don't see anyone typing anything disputing that, it's getting annoying man. Oh, you're all on the bandwagon, cool. You know, if it's getting annoying, just block it like I do to you 90% of the time. I mean I was informed this afternoon that Deloss Dodds had said the B12 was happy with 10 teams, certainly inferring that the B12 wasn't interested in talking to ACC teams. BW:DR Of course he said that. What's he going to say "We're actively talking with FSU and Clemson about taking them from the ACC". I'm not jumping on any bandwagon and I agree teams will probably bolt from the ACC. It just hasn't happened yet and since it hasn't happened yet, there's a chance it might not. The point was you think it's a fact, which it isn't. It's whatever though, you're not going to get it. I'll be waiting for the cocky, sarcastic response. The funny thing is, I'm actually agreeing with you for the most part about the original premise.

  6. It doesn't make any sense. We were just in his Top 12 (High) according to Rivals and we were just listed as his Top 2 along with FSU according to 247Sports. Now, he speaks with his family and we are completely out of it. If this is true about Bailey, then I'd love to hear what happened. Hopefully, it was just some bs tweet with no credibility.
  7. This is huge news. I'm surprised more people are talking about this. Hopefully, we pick him up after our next football event.
  8. He isn't going anywhere next year since he just signed an extension. Give him another year and see how he does.
  9. Bill, you don't have to get so angry every time someone posts something and doesn't necessarily agree with you, don't take it so personal. I think we can all agree that expansion might happen and FSU and Clemson might go to the B12. Other teams might go to the SEC, BIG whatever. It's just not a fact yet, that's all man. Thanks for those links, seems like that took a lot of time to post.
  10. Now the Texas AD is saying they aren't expanding, unless it's Notre Dame and Texas controls everything. This **** is stupid... I'm not going to pay attention to these rumors/blogs/ESPN/CBS articles anymore until something actually happens (or doesn't). This is my last one. Per Brett: Texas AD not for expanding, but admits courting Notre Dame http://www.cbssports...murphy/19124774
  11. Exactly. Last year the Big 12 was the conference that was going to blow up with teams going everywhere. Yeah, and only eleven teams changed conferences. But the Big 12 didn't blow up, just like the ACC probably isn't going to blow up this year, which is I think his point ... It won't blow up, but more teams will definitely move with the Big 4 conferences getting all the accolades. Still crossing my fingers the ACC loses 4 or more.
  12. It's not very good, but here's the live feed of the game. http://www.bigeast.org/Sports/Baseball/2012BaseballChampionshipCentral.aspx?DB_OEM_ID=7700
  13. Per Greg's chat today: Comment From 561 With the plethora of talented WR's/TE's , do you think the staff might have trouble keeping everyone happy? And is the group happy with their new position coach? Thanks 12:48 Yes, they'll have trouble keeping everyone happy. I've heard nothing but good things about Jerome Pathon, and I think Joe Sloan has helped in the transition while Pathon gets himself immersed in a new offense. It's USF's deepest position -- I have to work not to forget guys there are so many. I know it sounds crazy since he's a stud, but red-shirting him might not be a bad idea, so he has a year to get familiar/comfortable with the system.
  14. Yeah, and Texas A&M plans on being in the Big 12. Just passing the info along. Here's another one. "ND AD Jack Swarbrick said he is "confident about every team that makes top 4 having access to that (future) playoff format""
  15. Notre Dame AD Jack Swarbrick says he is monitoring the landscape: "Our operating assumption is we will remain aligned with the Big East."
  16. Maybe it's because of conference instability, realignment and us not being part of the Big 4 now? Recruits hear about those things and I'm sure recruiters and coaches tell them we're going to be small time now. I hope we can still swing some 4 star players still.
  17. Potential TV windfall encouraging for Big East http://www.tampabay.com/blogs/bulls/content/potential-tv-windfall-encouraging-big-east
  18. If the BE could bring in um and BC, maybe we could pursuade ND to join. They already play BC, and just singed a contract to play um. The BE signs with NBC UNiversal, get's ND to join letting them keep all revenue from home games (until their current contract ends).NBC keeps ND home games, gets away games as well, the BE adds THE cash cow. wishfull thinking Ok, this board has officially lost it. 2 years ago, Nebraska in the Big 10, aTm, and Missouri in the SEC, BSU, SDSU, ucf, SMU, Houston, Temple in the BE. You say this board has lost it. NOTHING is beyond the realm of possibility at this point. The only conferences Miami will not go to are the Pac 12 and the BE. ND is not going to join a conference anytime soon and if/when they do, it sure as hell won't be the BE. They could wait for 4 16 team conferences to form and they would still be included as the 65th team/17th team conference (They have so much power that they are the exception imo). If anyone's doing the raiding if the ACC loses more teams, it's the ACC raiding us for the 3rd time. Our only hope is they get raided so much that they have to include us, or get a tv deal close to their's.

  20. We don't have the upper hand no matter what you guys want to think. We are still the 6th best conference and the ACC is 5th best. We can invite ACC teams all we want, but they won't come. All the ACC has to do is invite any of the teams in the BE and they're gone. That should tell you who still has the advantage.
  21. This post is spot on if you want to look at the landscape in a realistic way, without green and gold glasses. Great post and I'd be perfectly happy with this outcome.
  22. If those 2 teams leave, all signs are pointing to Rutgers and UConn to replace them. The only way we get included is if 2 more teams leave for either the Big 12 (Gt Tech, Miami, Va Tech, etc...) or SEC (Va Tech, NCST). We only get in if they lose 4 or more teams. I think we'd get picked before Cincinnati, but that's it. UConn, Rutgers, Louisville are ahead. How great would it be if the rest of the current BE members get invited to the ACC, plus maybe Temple? I wouldn't mind this scenario though, even though it's unlikely::: Cuse BC UConn Rutgers Temple Pitt Cincy UofL Maryland UVA UNC Duke Wake GT USF Miami
  23. Me too, but it seems like the ACC is going to be on the outside looking in, just like the BE.
