NBA? Maybe you were a bit caught up in a good game by him?

His 6’10 and stealing the ball from 6’3 6’5 guys that’s rare. He has great mobility for his height. I’m not saying he will be too 10 draft pick but he will get a shot at the NBA if he keeps playing like that. You can teach shooting and things like that but height with mobility like that is not really teachable and NBA teams like that.

  2. Grass is not always greener on the other side he might of messed up his whole career transferring. He would have starter here for sure.

Honestly I would love him to be here, but I support coach for saying no. I’m sure he tried hard to get him to stay and he didn’t, so now he has moved on from him.

She dribbles as part of the plays that Jose calls. But I concede that when she can penetrate she's looking to pass, not shoot.

Yes I know I get it, but I been Watching her the pass 2-3years and sometimes she literally dribbles in circles when there is no open player. She would be in the 3 point area and dribble all the way under the rim (passing the rim) and come back all the way to where she started. That’s for sure not a play, just no one is open. She has to bully these 5’6 ,5’7, 5’8 point guards and drive on them.

  4. Wilson just dribbles around the court in circles, considering she’s a tall point guard at 5’10 she should be driving in all these smaller guards. She’s been playing college basketball for 5 years I’m surprised she hasn’t perfected something offensively in that time.

I think Sammie would have been our only hope.I’m not really to sure she’s great at getting her own shot, but she would be the best player on the team if she was on the court.

Jose has always had a go to player that closes the game or makes the crucial shot. Not this year though.

  5. I’av watched every game and Youngblood is good, he hasn’t played well every game though. Miguel and Youngblood are the best players we have. Miguel should have been starting every game and if I was him I would be insulted. The new coach seems like a nice guy but I’m not impressed yet. I hope starting Kobe Knox every game and giving him the most minutes ends up getting his brother to come here next year, because Kobe Knox shouldn’t be starting or getting the most minutes on the team.

  6. We beat Hofstra last year. This coach needs to start his best players this coach is playing around to much. Miguel should be starting and Knox shouldn’t be playing that much. Miguel, Youngblood, Placer, Walker, and Pryor are my starting 5. The top 2 players on our team which are Youngblood and Miguel should be starting always period, if this coach can’t recognize that it’s a problem.

I have been saying this for a long time.

I have been saying this since last year; however, in this game we probably need her to bring the ball up the court. Probably only Asensio and Aarnio could handle the pressure that Texas is applying.

Been preaching this as well. I don't know if you caught the beginning of the game, but they mentioned that Emma is out due to her ankle sprain.

I think the staring lineup for this game should of been Schipolt, levy,Blaasigh,Brito, and I guess wilson. I have watched every game I can tell you Schipolt is our best big defender if not the best on the team. She should be starting specially if Emma was out.

I’m not sure if coach has personal issues with some players but I remember he use to take Dulcy out all the time her first year here  and she was the best big we had it made no sense.

Aarnio, Mputu, Brito, Blasigh, and Wilson look like the best 5 that CJF has put together. It is an athletic and quick group. We will probably lose this game by a lot, but there is promise with this five going forward.

They can’t score though and if they get caught one on one it’s over because they are way to short. I’m not sure Mputu is a center.

Wow, CJF pulled a surprise and started Aarnio and Mputu. Looks like they featuring plays for Aarnio driving to the hoop. She drove and made a basket but they called a charge, which on replay looked like a block to me. Texas has forced into about 3 turnovers so far. 8-4 score in favor of Texas so far, but they look more competitive.

Coach Fernandez is not doing a good job with the players he has, Simple as that. You really show your coaching ability when you don’t have superstars on your team. We have decent players that if he plays to there strengths we would score more. Wilson can’t score all she does in dribble around for 20 seconds. So,maybe don’t start her and maybe start our tallest players since we can’t shoot maybe we can get some points in the paint. The Line up in right now has no scores.

After 4 games, Knox has taken the second most shots on the team (39). Miguel has taken the most shots (52). Knox has taken the most 3s (18), which is more than Youngblood (17), Miguel (16), and Placer (13). Knox has also logged more minutes than anyone else on the team. Here are some stats on Knox:

    FG% - 28%

    3P% - 11% (2-18)

    FT% - 57%

I would like to add that Miguel is shooting 39% from the field and has taken to most shots by far of anyone on the team. He is also a career 27% 3pt shooter.

So, why is CAAR not designing plays to get his best shooters the ball for shots? Youngblood and Placer have a 3-4 year proven track record of shooting and scoring, much better than Knox or Miguel. So why is he ignoring this simple fact? You want to win? Get your best shooters the ball. Knox should not be leading this team in minutes and 3s taken or second most in shots taken. Risking the success of this season to get his brother committed to the Bulls is not justified, in my opinion.

This team performs better if it gets the best shooters the ball, not the worst shooter. They perform better if you vary your offense to your opponent and utilize the talent you have in your bigs.

Like I said before I think he’s just playing him a lot to try to get his younger brother to commit to USF which is a slim chance. He hasn’t showed much and he keeps him in the game all the time, his shot has been off all season and still keeps him in. Miguel has a couple bad shots and takes him out right away.
