Is this a college basketball team or where thye out late last night?

lol can we get the ball in at least ones from under the rim?

I'm about to cry horrible turnovers.

Every game starts the same way I just don't get it can we ever start with a lead lol. This game is giving me a stomach ache. During the inbound they were all just standing around, that's a play? move around get open. I think the problem is half coaching and half players. I hate saying this becuase I'm pulling for them put we suck as a team

I think it's the coaching more then anything. One huge problem is he takes people in and out way to much, how can you even get going. He needs to start his best players, instead of matching up with the other teams make them match up against you or hammer them. Also on offense they spend half the time standing around and then force shots up with 5 seconds left. What ever that play is called they need to get rid of it, why do they take so long to take a freaking shot? When the other team is  playing zone some one needs to take it in or split the defenders so that the defense breaks down and either he will be open, someone will be open below or someone will be open for a three. They should just hire me as a coach.
 

Besides the coaching, Rudd is not a go to guy that can take over a game. Perry fouls to much and I think Hawkins should get more playing time, hasn't he gave Musa enough of a chance? Yes, he has a nice "stroke"but can't hit jack.

 

 

 

What's more important, the season or saving players "for the future?"

 

We need scorers. If we keep this same rotation, we will be lucky to win one or two more games this year.

 

We just stink something awful.

 

Play them all: Bo Zeigler, Josh Heath, Dre Clayton

 

Right now, I don't which team is worse, football or men's basketball.

Why not, that will be 3 more players the fans around here can blame for the miseries of the basketball program. Unless a miracle happens there will be a couple of players leaving at the end of the season only to be replaced by what ever can be found during the late signing period. They then can join the get bashed crew.

 

 

I am not sure what happened to LeDay's confidence. It was like he was not afraid to fail last season. Now he is out there walking on egg shells afraid of getting yelled at by Rudd and others if he messes up. Players cant play like that and expect to win. 

 

He and Hawkins won't be here next season unless something major happens that changes things.

 

I really think Hawkins can Start Next year at the 3 spot, from what I'av seen  in the game he can create his shot pretty good and drive. He just hasn't had to much play.

Last 2 games speak for them selfs. Collins gets people involved in the game, no one else does. You don't have to score 15 points to impact a game like collins does. He is the closest we get to a true point guard, so we need him back.

Poland and Rudd are the best scorers on the team and he takes them out to much I honestly don't get this coach, I don't know maybe it's just me. He takes people in and out to much how can you even get going. Someone makes one mistake and he takes them out, even the best players make mistakes here and there. Poland was on fire like NBA Jams they should of ran isloation plays for him, I mean he shot 78% from the field today HELLOOOOO.

This is all true and has been brought up before this season with Stan. I have wondered that maybe that's why his players, especially the young players play tight at times. It's tough to always have to look over your shoulder after every mistake, no matter how small they are. The body language of the players going back to the bench and then have to listen to him lecture them is not good.

One of things that John Calipari has spoke about before is that he allows his players to play through their mistakes. He says that everybody is going to turn the ball over or miss an assignment. I wish I could find that visoe where he talks about those things better then I can write them.

I have seen him pull people all the time like that since he started coaching at USF, it's like Dude relax how about you try to play a whole game with out making a mistake. I think some of the players he has would of  done alot better playing for other teams just becuase of that reason. Since I played basketball in high school I can see how that can even mess with your confidence and you can't play to your full potential that way. One of those players is Poland.

You can't blame anyone.  We are USF.  The academic committee is a part of our program.  They serve a purpose, and no one here wants our academics to suffer. 

 

That being said, unless Waverly Austin can f@cking fly AND guard four players at once AND play point guard against the press he would not have made any difference.

 

 

No one is saying that we want lower academic standards.  But what they did was disgraceful to Austin and Heath.

And no one is saying Austin was the savior for this team, but his presence would radically change the make up of this team.  His absence has created a domino effect that had rippled to every other position on the team.

I Agree, Austin is playing pretty well coming of the bench  for Oregen, rebounding, dunking, blocking which is what we need right now. Now if our best 3 pointer shooter misses we are done becuase he is our Center and tallest player.

On another note,They need to send the Seven footer to Hakeem Olajuwon camp this summer or something. I'm just saying invest in our future, becuase who ever has been working with this guy is doing a horrible job.

  I think the offensive gameplan is the reflection of the talent on the team. He won with this style last year because we couldn't score. He had no issues running a faster tempo with Jones here.

If it makes anyone feel better I saw Wavery Austin which should of been a bull have a block party and grab a bunch of rebound on espn a couple nights ago, against a ranked team. By the way, I don't blame the players, blame the coach. The way he runs his offence sucks.Why do they run the clock down every position?
