There is no chance of that happening
I agree, considering he left the local high school to Georgia to get paid. If he does go to a college team it will probably be one that can pay him way more then we can.

Totally disagree on that but I respect your opinion. I don’t think either one of them is ready for basketball at this level.
Of course I haven’t seen them as much as you have maybe.
I agree 100% why is the Big guy even starting.

This loss was the coach's fault. Bad starting line up which is what lead to us getting behind in the start of the first and second half. For some reason his rotation is the whole team like we have a bunch of 5 star recruits/transfer. Cory walker, Miguel, Youngblood for sure should start and play most of the game. For some reason he doesn't start 2 of his best players. He plays Knox way to much and he is not producing, seems like he might be doing it just to get his brother to come here next year.

Man this kid might be the Heisman this year.Just crazy I was reading a story about him since he went to my high school. His Dad really wanted him to go to USF, but he choose IU because he wanted a bigger spot light and his mom agreed.I think we need to move up to a power five Conference to attract the really good guys in the area or we need a super recruiter like Deion.

Add another to the roster.
Kobe Knox 6’5 197 from Grand Canyon State, returning to his hometown in Tampa
As a freshman avg 5.3 pts
Question is can we get his younger brother to come to USF, 5 star recruit Karter Knox.

Some people are saying give him a minute. The thing is we don’t have a minute, we been losing to long. It’s not the the new coaches fault either it’s Kelley’s fault. We needed to hire a well established coach that could make a instant impact, you can’t really do that when you have one winning season in a low tier conference out of 3 seasons. What are you going to tell recruits when your resume is minimal.
Hopefully he works out and he can bring in some talent that people missed on.So far he is not showing much in the portal or high school recruiting, other then the players he had already. A lot teams in the AAC that had bad seasons last year have already picked up some good talent from the portal, SMU is one of them.

Hopefully he is worth every penny
Any time we have to say the word hopefully, it’s not good. Honestly I hope he is good, but considering all that we been through I think it should be a little more concrete then hopefully maybe more like 80% sure. when you hire a guy with a one win season it’s like rolling dice.He hasn’t showed much in the transfer portal so far so?? I don’t know??

We can’t even get the assistant coaches son. If he can’t pull in kasean Pryor, I’m not sold on his recruiting. Kasean is a Florida kid.

It’s been almost a month since the coach was signed and we barely got enough players to play a game.only players he signed at the moment are from his old school. He was talking about building a fence around Florida but he hasn’t talked anyone other then His old players into coming here. We need to get some bodies on the team or else we’re going to have to get the ladies team to practice against the us. I see a lot players getting signed out of the portal.
Looks like Memphis will be better this coming year then this pass season. They signed some good portal players and have a good recruit class. I’m guessing Fau and Memphis will be the favors to win the American.

Just committed to the Bulls
Well seems like he is tall and can flush it down and catch alley oops, something tchewa couldn’t do.
-
Any buzz on picking anyone up??? Days are passing here and we haven’t picked up no one from the portal other the his former players and we have to fill the roster to at least have 5 on 5 practice.

I’m not too concerned if good KSU players are leaving there and headed to places like Cincy. Just shows me CAAR does have some recruiting success with hs recruits.
That kid is from temple not KSU.

It should matter. He's from St. Pete
I agree he is a home town kid, I’m sure he would like playing in front of his friends and family. Someone would have to sell him on it super hard.
-
So besides the players he had at the old school, I’m not seeing any buzz of anybody else signing. There is a lot good players in the portal and they are signing with other schools daily.
Memphis picked up 2 of Temple’s best players from the portal, appears they will be pretty good next year with the freshman class they have coming in and the transfer portal players they just signed.
there is no way he could of talked this kid into coming back to his home town to play? -
If those are the 3 staying I’m good with that. Besides Harris and Bryant, these 3 were the most talented on the roster. Hopefully the new coach can get the most out of walker because he does have talent.
Unless we get some amazing players from the portal, I’m guessing Miguel will start and walker or Hines will start if not both. I think he let them know that which is why they might not be leaving.
-
I’m starting to think that he told Cory walker and Miguel that they will be starting along with the 3 that are transferring in. Because they haven’t entered yet.
If they enter the portal as well we have a major problem and we will really see how good of a recruiter he is. there is good amount of good players in the portal
-
As long as Miguel and walker don’t transfer we should ok, Hines would be nice to keep as well.
if they transfer the new coach will have to get some good players from the portal or we are toast.
-
Tchewa is very replaceable, to win we need the opposite of Tchewa. We need a big man that can throw it down when a good pass is delivered, good rebounder and rim protector. He doesn’t have to be the leading scorer on the team. Out those 3 things I listed Tchewa was decent at only one.
now Miguel I really hope he stays because he could create his own shot. he was very good at getting to the rim with the right hand even when being guarded.

He was our second best player last year ( in m opinion). If we can get an upgrade through the transfer portal; great. But until then I consider losing Tchewa as a major blow on our chances next year.
He wasn’t very good, he was decent at scoring down low only if he caught it close to the rim with in a couple feet. If he ever had to post up a player from let’s say 10 feet and back them down he missed the shot most of the time. Also, I don’t know how many time someone passed him the ball and instead of dunking it he would try to lay it in and miss it.
cory walker in my opinion is way better option and didn’t really get a fair chance with Gregory, he would do some dumb stuff here and there but with the right coach he should be ok. I also like the other freshman center, forgot his name. He might of had more blocks in the couple games he played then tchewa.
-
Honestly I wasn’t that high on Russell Tchewa this is coming from someone that watched every game, seems like he couldn’t jump over a can. He missed a lot close shots and he barely ever had blocks, look at the stats.
I much rather have a big man that can throw it down and play good defense. If he tries to go to any big school he’ll be a back up.
-
I think Miguel should be our starting point guard. He did pretty good running the point using Harris more as a shooting guard last year.
-
He’s gone, he showed way to much potential a lot school will show interest.

The offense play calling pretty bad. I mean I get we have to get the run game going but it’s a little to much.
