Good call by coach starting walker definitely a better defense of post than Pryor.

UAB's big beat us at the free throw line. Only had 12 points from the field.

They only had 28 points in the paint to our 24.

They went to the line 41 times in that game.we went 19 and shot 47% from free throw line. It was such a poorly officiated game it was ridiculous. Pryor fouled out as did Hines. Knox, Miguel and Walker each finished with 4 fouls. Not going to win many games when the refs take out the better part of your lineup due to foul trouble.

Playing our style doesn't guarantee you win every game but it gives you the best chance to win.

You shoot 3's and attack the rim.  defend 3's and defend the rim.

Playing zone doesn’t complete leave them open for 3 pointers it makes it way easier to double team the post. The UAB big went to the line that many times because we fouled him trying to defend him on the post one on one for the most part.We could have won that game if we would have hit  free throws.

FAU is the best team we’ve played all year and the center is a true 7 footer and has one of the best shooting percentage in the league.I’m pretty sure Dusty May will feed him the ball as much as possible.It will be interesting to see what our game plan will be.

That’s true we have gotten dominated the whole year inside, the only game that we lost in the conference though the big had 20 something points.Like some one else said we need to maybe try Pryor and walker in the game at the same time, because walker can play big man better then Pryor.

Maybe we can try some zone and see if maybe they’ll be off from long range, I would try that first if I was the coach. Make them beat me from the outside and if they’re hot then adjust. 
 

The good thing about USF this year is we have played people close and played  great when we were down and with a lot pressure. Even the single game we lost in conference, we played bad and missed a lot free throws, we only lost that game by a couple points.

We have to win out we might be able to afford to lose one game to a good team. But I really think we need to beat everyone one because we need the FAU,SMU, and charlotte wins for our resume and we need the number one seed in the AAC tournament.

I’av been watching every USF basketball games for years, you don’t know how good this feels. I been watching them lose for a while.

Chris Youngblood put us on his back today. Someone always seems to step up when we need them too.

I know he’s not really ready but when he is, he will really help us. In the couple games he played it he had great mobility and can jump, but is still pretty raw.

I was going to say that we were down 9 last time at half. If rice is smart they well throw it in to the big man all day. 

Like I said before if the other team has a good scoring big man they hurt us. there big man is 4 for 4. We went to zone to try to take care of that and the point guard hit two 3’s. I think I would try Pryor as a power forward and throw the freshman 7 footer  in to see if it makes a difference. Either way similar game to last time we played them, so we will see what happens.

The main reason we’re currently not a at large is we have 0 quad one wins, they are basically predicting that since we are number 1 currently that we will win the AAC tournament.

If we beat FAU that might not be a Quad 1 win anymore because they will probably drop like Memphis. All we can hope for is to win out and hope for the best.

FAU has 2 Quad 1 wins, we have 0. Memphis was a Quad 1 win but not anymore. 

We’re a really good team, the only thing that’s is affecting us is have a Tall big man right now. Usually if the opposing team has a decent scoring big man they have a good game against us. 
The only game that we lost against UAB the big man went for 23 point, even with that we could have won if we hit our free throws. 
 

This is how you can tell we have a good team this year. We are winning games that we didn’t play that well.Miguel had a great game and he kept us close enough to be able to come back and win it. Huge steal by Reid.
Hope Coach Amir sticks around because if we make the tournament bigger schools will be calling without a doubt.

If we can win the next four we will probably get votes but we won’t be ranked. We do have to beat FAU if we want a at large bid. If we can some how win out the rest of the games I think it’s a lock to get a NCAA bid, even if we lose one it should be ok.We have to beat FAU though to have a quality win and hopefully Memphis plays better to make that win look better.

I can tell we’re a good team because we won with out playing our best. This game was similar to the UAB game but we were able to pull it out.

Memphis basketball team has lost 4 straight since they lost to us. They just lost to Rice at home. At this point beating Memphis is just looking like a regular win. That goes to show that the team with the best players doesn’t always win. Memphis has the best team in terms of having the best players, but they aren’t the best team. I think penny put to many good players together and they all want the ball not enough passing.

Wow I can’t believe it’s been so long. It feels like watching for so many years has paid for me. I been watching them lose so much. This is great man, awesome comeback.

They were way more athletic than us, coach has them playing hard. The whole year even when they lost they played hard.

Coach Fernandez needs to switch it up he can’t keep running double screens for Blasigh all game, teams already know that. Ones she gets the ball on the double screen they are up on her and she is not great in creating her own shot, everyone one else is just standing waiting for her to do something. 
In the pasted that worked for Elena, Courtney Williams and the smith twins they could come off a screen and shoot it, create her own shot, or drive and pass.

We just don’t have that type of player now so we have to runs multiple plays that involve multiple players.

Right now we are a Live by the 3, Die by the 3 type of team.

Blasigh Is good but she can’t really drive in. In previous years we had players that could shoot and if they closed out on them they could drive in. We have no go to dominant player like the last couple years, it would help if we had Sammie, but she’s out for the year so it is what it is.

I a lot teams draft on potential, so if he keeps it up you might be right. Lamelo ball went from not even being considered a draft pick to a top 3 pick in one year based on what he did in Australia for one season.

His 6’10 and stealing the ball from 6’3 6’5 guys that’s rare. He has great mobility for his height. I’m not saying he will be too 10 draft pick but he will get a shot at the NBA if he keeps playing like that. You can teach shooting and things like that but height with mobility like that is not really teachable and NBA teams like that.
