  1. my stream sucks. but thanks u guys for filling me in about a missed FG. i was getting scared.
  2. as bad as our offense has looked, as good as their defense has looked, and as much as their running game has made our squad look like ****, this game could already be ugly... i'll take 0-0 at this point. we are still in the game.
  3. since when did a little rain stop football? first we had the Denver/Baltimore opening night game delayed over some drizzle, now this?? i understand the rules protecting players from head injuries, but delaying games over rain? they've turned football into some ***** sport! remember when teams used to play in blizzards?
  4. Seriously. I bet most of us were watching UCF last night too. true, but only until Peru/Uruguay futbol came on. hehe
  5. i'll be watching a stream from down here in Peru. no way in hell i'm missing the first game of the Willie T era.
  6. A team who hasn't won a Super Bowl in the last 8 years is considered "elite" ? a team that has won 12+ games in 7 of the last 10 seasons? 5 of the last 12 SuperBowls, including 2 seasons ago? played in 7 of the past 12 AFC conference championship games, including 3 of the last 5? what do u consider elite? cuz by any metric no other team is even close. the fact that the Giants' measuring stick for "greatness" is beating the Patriots only reinforces how great a team they are. Again, how many Super Bowl rings in the last 8 years ? Zero. A team to be considered elite right now, better win at least 2 of the last five...at least. Very good football team who is very far from elite. I bet belicheck agrees with me. so an elite team has to win 2 of the last 5 superbowls? LOL. i guess the only elite team in the NFL right now are the Giants, who struggle to make the playoffs every year, who didnt make the playoffs last year, and probably will miss them again this year. get real. homers will pull criteria out of their arse to convince themselves that the ONLY elite team is THEIR team. fact is, the Patriots put themselves in the hunt for a SB title every year, and have either been to the SB or to the Conference championship more than any other team in recent memory. that's elite. to insist there is only ONE elite team in the league, and that that team is one who didnt even make the playoffs last season is sheer homer idiocy. I'm not a Giants fan. There are no elite teams in the NFL right now. Pats haven't won a Super Bowl in 8 years bro, it's not even a discussion. Again, I guarantee belicheck agrees the pats are not elite. You sound like that idiotic homer you talk about. they have BEEN to the SuperBowl. what else makes an NFL team elite? if the ONLY criteria for being elite is winning a SuperBowl then there is only one elite NFL team every year. that's utterly stupid.
  7. really speaks to how trash Shiz Holtz and staff were that they had an NFL QB on the roster and couldnt put together more than 1 winning season. SMFH.
  8. there's a caption that goes with this, but this is a "G-rated" board... im sure u can figure it out. listen, there is a massive difference between getting completely shizfaced and then getting behind the wheel of a car, and having a glass of wine or two with dinner and a cop smelling alcohol on your breath. Florida DUI laws also include other substances, including pain medication, anxiety medication, etc. do people REALLY deserve a criminal record for taking pain medication or anxiety meds to drive up the block? i've taken klonopin for anxety for 6 years. it calms me down, maybe slight drowziness, but in no way impairs my ability to operate a motor vehicle. am i driving under the influence? according to Florida law, i could be. it's amazing to me the number of insanely hardline reactionaries that live in Florida and graduated from USF. everything is black and white and there is no room for any gray whatsoever. i feel sorry for people like this. they have no humanity and lack basic critical thinking skills. it's just "oh **** u took a sip of alcohol and got behind the wheel of a car, u belong in jail u scum of the earth!" and these same people will be begging for exceptions or "understanding" if something ever happens to them or their family. one of many reasons i left the States. people are so unhappy with themselves they want to impose their misery on others.
  9. comparing Evan Landi, who has excellent hands, to Wes "SuperBowl Drop" Welker is ridiculous. they're both slow and white, but that's the end of the comparison.

  11. "But, for whatever reason, the Hurricanes passed on Lockette, allowing Taggart to swoop in. No question, the USF coach made a big power move." ^^ gotta love this
  12. Lulz at Luke. He's just pissed the Canes didnt offer anything, he doesn't care about him going to USF. Maybe we should ask Luke what Marquis and Fresh Kid Ice think of the hire so we can get the complete perspective of the 2 Live Crew. ridiculously ignorant post of the day. congrats. would he have preferred UM snatch up Lockette? OF COURSE. Luke is a home grown product of Miami, and for nearly a decade he was THE face of Miami's urban music culture, a culture that has undeniably shaped the broader culture of not only Miami but of Florida in general. he wanted Lockette to go to Miami's unofficial "flagship" football program. but it is obvious by his column that Luke is genuinely happy for Coach Lockette and wants to see him succeed NOT just because he is a Miami-Dade product, but because his success would open the door for other Florida high school coaches to take the next step into NCAA football. people on this board need to stop acting like anything said by someone who is either not a former player, or not some old white guy getting paid as an analyst for ESPN/ABC/FOX/NBC/SportsIllustrated is irrelevant. that is simply not true. get over your cultural bias and learn something about Florida history beyond your bubbles in Carrollwood or Temple Terrace.
  13. for outsiders, Uncle Luke is nothing more than the king of Miami Bass/Booty music. to insiders who have followed his career, he is a brilliant business man with a hand in A LOT of Miami-area and Florida interests. he was integral in creating the "Miami swag" attitude and atmosphere that propelled UM into the limelight in the '80s, and really that helped shape the contemporary national image that Miami has as a prime vacation/party spot. love or hate his music, u can't deny his accomplishments as an entrepreneur and pillar of the southern Florida community.

  15. Giants have had 2 good seasons in the past decade. Pats are consistently an elite team. the sun shines on a dog's ass once every so often. enjoy the UV rays, boys.
  16. there's still the fact it has the word "chokes" in it. LOL
  17. 14 years to graduate... U Stay Forever lives on!!!
