  1. No one from USF Athletics, I am referring to “some” of the fan base. Athletics is doing the right thing by keeping quiet (other than that lame domino tweet by BG) so as to not increase speculation. My point is if you increase the expectation now and all of this may take years (if ever) your going to get more and more disgruntled about where we are. Just wait until the PAC perhaps moves on SMU and they are the fourth AAC team to move up and we are still sitting here holding our dicks. Looking at the long term picture for fans is the way to deal with this…in my opinion
  2. And this is another reason why people get pissed off and stop following the program because they are not dealing in reality. We need more than hope at this point…we need results.
  3. But does Twitter followers translate financially into butts in the seats? Also how many of those followers follow FSU and/or UF and like those schools more?
  4. And no “should like” Yes, that second part has been the problem. Clock is ticking.
  5. I have to say I am impressed with number of award lists our players are on. Hopefully this translates to something special on the field this season.
  6. Interviews and shows are also avaiable on the podcast to listin to at anytime.
  7. They will also have some new commers who will be more than capable. Need much more pressure from the defense and a few turnovers would be nice. I think our offense will be effective.
  8. Yes, that might have been a little harsh on my part. But that is a long time. Let me tell you about the short term. There are going to be games this year when we are going to get our **** pushed in; there are going to be games this year that there will only be 18/22 k fans in the stands; there are going to be games this year where fans will be calling for the firing of CJS and to start over again. I can go on and on. But this program needs to keep plugging along and pushing to do all it can. You say ten years? Then in that time we need real success on the field. We need committed leadership that does not stop at IPF structures and stadium structures. This program has to be aggressive on and OFF the field and it has to constant 24 hours a day. It can be done but will they do this?
  9. Thank you. I would love to be on the B10…that would be awesome. But the reasoning I see here (B10 fans like to vacation in Florida, the B10 plays a bowl game in Tampa, we filled a stadium 15 years ago, etc.) is just nonsensical. The B10 will NEVER take a G5 school when they could get much more reputable programs from the west or hope to snag ND. I mean get real people. The B12 could happen and a much watered down ACC could as well but it will probably be years before that happens. We need to get recognized as a program first and that comes from winning games and playing in big bowls and winning them.
  10. Finally some reality as compared to the past comments. Thank you!
  11. No, I just can’t deal with pie in the sky thinking with little to no chance. Then when nothing happens people get pissed. It’s called expectations and some people need to lower them tremendously. We can get into a better conference but this needs to be looked at from a realistic perspective.
  12. Dude, their ain’t no f’n way we will EVER be in the B10. Jesus are you people serious???? You are projecting we will move from the AAC to the B10? Wake up!!!! We haven’t won nothing in this **** conference. And if it is the ACC it will be a conference with a handful of the original members (we won’t be playing Clemson in football or Duke in basketball maybe Wake Forrest). USF filled up a stadium once but that was 15 years ago. We have been so irrelevant since that it’s extremely unlikely anyone remembers or would take a chance relative to other moves the conferences could take. Last, unless the leadership changes in the Athletic Department I see no one who has the skill set to get us there.
  13. I can see some of you people on this thread ten years from now: “I think we have a chance to finally get out of the AAC…Big10 is definitely going to take us now…ACC will be calling us anytime now…”
  14. Four of those teams still have a shot at the B10. Rumor is Stanford could go Indy. The PAC will have to back fill with G5 on the coast and Boise. Yet if they said USF was going to the ACC you would be saying how awesome and right they are
  15. That could be, my comment was more directed at the pie in the sky comment thinking that the B12 will lose teams to the PAC. That is simply not going to happen on many levels.
  16. Not even talking about the source. The PAC is on life support. They will have some defections in next few years if not sooner.
  17. No way, four of those PAC schools will not sign a GOR when they want a B10 call up. If anything the B12 is in position to snag a few PAC schools
  18. No way they go GOR, not when four teams are hoping for a B10 call up.
  19. And ECU is pretty decent now. Agreed it is a must win or you could be staring at a 2/3 win season at best.
  20. Yeah when you run the numbers from a 1-3 start and include Hou, ucf, and Cincy later, six wins won’t be easy that’s for sure.
