  1. Ok, I’ll play along. Other than our new QB, why do you think all these players transferred? We’re they all so great they just wanted to come to USF? Has the current DC and OC always had success everywhere they have been? Do the players grasp the learning curve of the new coaches? In terms of the past, you’re telling me it has “no” importance? Even for a team that just won 2 games? There has to be “some” residue relative to skill set and psychology impact on the players after all of the losing we have gone through. Are you suggesting that Scott all of a sudden (in one year) got more intelligent as a head coach (and even he has stated he has made mistakes and the transition has been difficult for him)? Sure all I have is an opinion but the questions I have raised are more valid than “just believing and having faith” that we will win nine games. Even if half of the questions I asked come up positive you are still looking at a 5/6 win season…which our fan base would be enthusiastic about (which in itself is pretty sad, but I’ll take half a loaf at this point).
  2. You can also add some USF alumni not giving a because they are too busy cheering for UF or FSU.
  3. That’s a great analogy. The only difference is that it will not have any corporate limitations. Think of it as Gordon Gecko meets Enron.
  4. But Ohio State, Penn State, and Mich/Mich State are still closer to the east coast than the west coast. USC/UCLA are on a much more geographic island. I think the three previously mentioned in the PAC are gone as well as KU. But all of this is looking like 5/6 years from now.
  5. The wild enthusiasm sounds too much like listening to a preacher…I am waiting for the football god to come down and bless us. The negatives are just as bad but if this was the stock market they would be the ones making money
  6. Five schools in our conference have already started one so we need to get on this fast.
  7. No, I am a stats guy when it comes to probability and outcome. I think we will all be happy with six wins which statistically is our threshold…and even that is pushing it.
  8. Oregon, Stanford, and Washington are as good as gone, it’s just a matter of time. No way the B10 does not create a more west coast presence for USC and UCLA. Why would a B12 school go to unstable PAC? That’s wishful thinking.
  9. Agree with all of that as long as it is grounded in “some reality”. In terms of facts, to ignore statical probability is wrong on my opinion…especially with talk about this team winning 9 or more games.
  10. I can agree with that. We all need to mix it up. But at the same time posting the same diatribe works both ways don’t you think? I mean going on and on about this is going to be a great year gets a bit redundant as well and I would submit that statically it’s more than unlikely to happen (talking about 8/12 wins).
  11. The West Coast I would imagine feel the same way. Hope that GOR holds up with the oncoming storms that lay ahead.
  12. I would submit that this team has earned the right for its fan base to whine and cry. Although I don’t consider myself to do this too often (I have gone on record with 6 wins), I do think many need a dose of realism mixed into their fantasy land approach taken by some on this board.
  13. Nope, I’ve been burned way too much to get caught up in the “rah-rah” BS that many on this board are displaying…it’s almost embarrassing to read some of these posts as it is way outside the reality. Hope for 5/6 wins but be ready for less.
  14. He should have said P2. The B12 will be the third best conference when it’s all said and done (the ACC will get picked apart with the best leftovers going to the B12, and the PAC will be picked apart as well with the B12 getting the best leftovers). There will be big drop between the B12 and the P2 but the B12 will still make a few bucks and be marketable. Those conferences below the B12 will be the orphans playing in their own playoff system.
  15. It’s interesting to think about. I bet most in this board hate the idea.
  16. Maybe…but the AAC would be that cheap indoor league where the fans call the plays.
  17. If he wins 5 then yeah 2023…anything less then your probably fooling yourself (which we all have been the past three years).
  18. Well that’s good I don’t really know what I was a going to do if “Joe Broback” was not going to come around to Bohanon being our starter…
