    This game is hot news in Orlando. As I've said many times I grew up down the road from UCF and a large majority of my friends back home went/go there and many of their parents did as well. The UCF **** talking is going full force in Orlando right now. Go eat off University with some USF clothing and you will get many reactions. If this isn't a true rivalry, I don't know what is. I have neighbors who are neither USF or UCF alum, yet they bought UCF season tickets just so they could attend the USF game.

    I complain about this enough, but I think I've finally got it figured out. Going to football games just isn't a big deal to alot of students here. Alot of people come here because of academics or because they didn't get into UF or FSU. I've been to games with people in my classes and some of them just sit down and watch. The idea of getting up and yelling seems obscene to them. Football is a culture. You either grow up cheering, learn quickly, or don't go to the games. Kids who's parents and grandparents went to UF or FSU football games have taught them what to do at games. When it's our kids, and our grandkids going to the games, they will have grown up in a USF football culture and be able to appreciate it more.

    Parking at my parents house and riding out with USF/UCF friends. To be from UCF area makes this game that much better.

    Also, speaking of spontaneous tradition... "Dunk City" It's not a tradition per sae, but it is a similar idea. These things just happen when enough people care. Win games and tradition will come.

    Not sure whether to laugh or cry... Do you have a v6 Mustang? No. This is the only Mustang model I've owned - 89 ragtop with the 2.3L 4 cylinder engine. Very nice! My stang was a built 4.6 v8. Had to sell it to get something more practical. The guy that bought it totaled it shortly after.

    Stock the lakes? What are students going to fish for their dinner? Fishing is a hobby. I see people attempting it all the time. I've caught 1 bass on campus that was about 2lbs. It's the only bite I've ever had there. Would be pretty amazing if they stocked the lakes and maintained them.

    This is not the first time though. Last year they did a similar thing in which we voted on 4 things or none. The only thing almost worth voting for was to have a live bull mascot, but it hardly got any support. The best way to start a tradition is it just happens. For instance, Urban Meyer started a new tradition at Ohio State last year.

    Yes, you're right, I'm a joke. If we go along with this, I can definitely see us on that bleacher report list in the future. "______ was started back in 2013 when student government posted on facebook asking for ideas for a tradition. They picked 4 ideas and put them on a blackboard ballot. There was not an overwhelming support for any of the ideas, but they decided to go with ______. Student government tried to push the idea for almost 2 years, but with lack of student support ______ was eventually abandoned."

    The war flamingo is completely dead. TSA will not allow them into the stadium because "they are projectiles." An inflatable flamingo is a projectile? Apparently. But those verizon GO BULLS paper airplanes are no big deal.

    None of this is tradition. I know I am just poking fun at the entire idea of this, as in getting something you want by going about it the entirely wrong way.

    This is not how you do it. If they wanted to start an actual tradition they would get behind something that students are already doing.
