    Ok sorry here, don't know if removing Battie's name really changes the argument but: It's going to take at least two years of recruiting to rebuild USF football, regardless of who the coach is. It's already bad enough; now take into account players like Grier transferring out and Horn - who removed all mentions of USF from his bio and whose best friend's Dad, who also transferred out, claims is going to transfer out - likely transferring out, and Boyles graduating. We better settle in.

    Hypothetically, What if it wasn't up to who USF athletics wants but rather Deion says, "no thanks, yall are small time, and I want a legit P5 offer, see ya" and Leavitt says, "no thanks, this institution ruined my name and took away my joy in life; thus I never want to coach there again." What do we do then? Might this be the current situation?

    I'm pumped to see what Chadwell does with our kind of athletes on offense. He runs motions I didn't even know were legal, so the guy is pretty innovative and effective. That's exciting. However, the offense was not the issue for us this year. If he comes here, it won't be about his offense but rather how well and how quickly he can recruit great DEFENSIVE talent. It should be all about fixing the defense if you're the next USF coach.

    Based on all the tweets about it being a splash, I'll go ahead and assume it's going to be Chadwell. Not bad I guess? But, I don't know, seems like we have tried the good ole boy nice guy character as head coach a couple of times now, and it hasn't worked. Also, his 2022 recruiting class had 7 enrollees from Florida, but his 2021 had only ONE enrollee from Florida. Does this guy actually have good recruiting connections down here? Shouldn't we focus on hiring someone that can lock the bay area down? Don't know if Chadwell is the guy to do that.

    No way Kelly hires this guy to be our HC. Arkansas is ranked as the second worst defense in the SEC. No way he does that…right?
