Definitely two types of coaches out there, especially after a loss:

The "yeah we lost but it was a good effort by our team" type of coach (Holtz & Heath)

&

The "this wasn't good enough, we need to work and win" type of coach coach (Taggart)

Now obviously that was the whole point of this thread and everyone has their own opinion but I feel like most USF fans are pretty much done hearing "good effort" coaches with no signs improvement. From the little that I've seen and heard COA talk he definitely seems like he leans toward the Taggart-type which gives me hope that players aren't going to walk all over him when they don't feel like working like they did with Heath.

No head coaching experience (besides DR team) no good. Going to have to learn how to be HC on the job. We're up for some MAJOR MAJOR growing pains. 

This guy would be a great hire. As a college student, watching videos of him talk and handle himself I can already tell kids are gonna connect with him.

This guy is a LEGIT coach. When it comes to recruiting honestly I feel like just being able to consistently win here will fill the Dome. Once the Sun Dome is filled and we have some kind of winning atmosphere I feel like all these new facilities will recruit themselves. We just need a winner.

If this guy is not hired then I will say we made a mistake firing Stan. All that will be left is Stan clones.

People may want to listen, but his relationship with USF is over. Which SUCKS...this was a fantastic hire....

The only way the relationship isn't over is if it was just some stupid oversight by Kentucky.   If that is the case then I could see the two sides still working it out, but otherwise it's done.

This tells me Willie doesn't know who the starters are and who the backups are, not a good sign.

After researching their head coaching body of work, I dont see how Pelphrey or Neubauer are improvements over CSH. Couple of good seasons mixed in with mostly bad to average seasons.

We need someone who has consistently proven to win as a coach, a lot of good young coaches leading mid-major teams.

After watching Holtz and watching Taggart I can attest that theres definitely two type of coaches

Skip was a "our guys did a great effort and played hard" postgame persona type of coach.

Coach T is an "I apologize for this performance, this will corrected, we're gonna beat everybody" type of head coach after a loss.

The team takes on the personality of their head coach.

Its now clear to me that Stan is a "we had a great effort out there..." even though we lost type of head coach. I've had enough of that talk already, We need our teams to take on the attitudes of people like coach T. Especially after losses.

I feel bad for Giddins, he signed with us when this program was at its high and told UF to F off. Probably still the highest recruit to come here directly. I wonder if he regrets his decision 4 years later after having to play and experience the worst era in USF football and 1st transition rebuilding year.

Unfortunately he suffered a concussion late in the first half and the team ended up losing 35-31 after the opposing team scored 2 TDs in the 4th quarter.
