ESPN 150 athlete Tarean Folston (Cocoa, Fla./Cocoa) will make his decision next Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. ET in a school signing day ceremony. The 5-foot-10, 190-pound senior is still committed to Notre Dame, but things have become complicated.
  2. All you need to know about Rivals is that they rate almost all players in a tight band, tenths of a point sometimes between many players.  More importantly, rankings are silly.  For example, we have 4 more than TCU, and a slightly higher avg...yet the same total points score.

Worse, it ranks SMU over Miami and Lville. Strictly on volume.

Not sure which of these ranking/scoring sites is best, so I'll rely on Coach Taggart to fill his stars.

  3. I feel like we are battling Tenn for a lot of recruits. Does this bode well for us or show how far they have dropped?

That question was hypothetical. Don't answer please...

    Forty-two.

that's the answer, now what's the question? :D

When will the rhetorical questions end?

  4. Get him in for the w/e

Dwyer DE Malik Brown, a #Syracuse commit, being courted hard. #Vols visited yesterday, #USF HC Willie Taggart in today, #NCState tomorrow.

This kid plays a few miles from my home...he's got a high ceiling.  If Taggart can get him, and we can bulk him up a bit, could be big.  He's got a Selvie-like motor.

  5. If he picks UCLA like I think he will its not about the PT. It will be about getting away from home (I went to USF from Seattle) as well as the education. A UCLA degree is better than a USF or Clemeson degree. Location also factors in; I've lived in Seattle, Tampa, Miami, Boise and now LA and to me LA is the best of hem all; there is everything here and not to knock Tampa or anywhere else (minus Boise.. Idaho sucks) but for me its just a better place to live. You have the weather of FL with the hiking and scenery of Seattle.

But all that silicone. I did it for 8 years. Was done when I left.

I dunno at 25 there's no place I'd rather be. Suffice it to say I am closer to AW's age then you and I'm assuming his mind works the same way. And again USF is no where near the education at UCLA

After having been to LA and spending over a month in the area, it's a complete shizhole unless your living in the Hollywood Hills or 10 mins away in Beverly Hills. I'd rather be in Orange County, that place is gorgeous.

Having worked on a project based in Irvine, I'm with you 100%.  Laguna Beach, and several beach towns are great.  But LA is traffic snarl, and if you take a wrong turn, good night.  Of course, I have a similar opinion of Miami, but there are good qualities with both, and for an 18 year Big Man on Campus, I'm sure that's very appealing.

  6. I don't understand why anyone would not want this guy. He just smokes everyone on the field. This guy would be a huge threat to the outside, burn defenses for easy 5-10+ yard pick ups ending out of bounds. I hope he chooses USF. If you have this guy in with a 2 back formation and some sort of read on the defense I imagine that would be really effective.

If speed were the only factor, Hopkins would have been our leading rusher last year.

I think Hopkins was a track star first, football player next.  And he was actually blossoming into a go-to WR before his injury.  I think he's back next year, so I'd expect even better things.

Davis looks like a Warrick Dunn type.  I'd love to have him.

  7. Looks like he is actually friends with James Hearns. They just went to UK together for a visit.

    Keith kelsey jr â€@D1prospect6

Just landed it lexington kentucky show me and my boy @JamesHearns21 sum love

Wonder if they're a package deal.  Will be interesting to see who Kelsey picks...and if it's not USF, does Hearns still come for an OV?  Seems he hasn't committed to an OV...was a "might". So, my guess...both go to UK.

  8. Derek Tyson â€@DerekTysonESPN

Gainesville (Fla.) RB Rapheal Webb will no longer announce tomorrow with his teammate Keith Kelsey. #FIU #BC #Gophers

Think Derek messed up... Its FAU not FIU. I think he was set to commit to FAU tomorrow but his visit to Minnesota this weekend is making him reevaluate. We got on him too late and honestly I'd take Davis as our second back over Webb

My guess is we'd only take Webb to get Kelsey, and since I suspect Kelsey is headed to UK [or Lville], this 830 press conference is moot for USF.

  9. Bresnahan is going to visit him this week. Guess he knows better than the little wienies on here.

I'm not sure about wienies...but Wilder clearly decommitted.  And that's AFTER he met Cooper, who seems to be a draw for DBs.  Who knows what's going on in Wilder's head, and how good Tuberville is at getting into these guys' heads.

We'll survive either way, but having a good JUCO CB make an impact would be a good think.  Then again, I was hoping for something similar with Juco's Montgomery & Brown last year.  Not so much.

  10. If you read the article notice how he says  "if another""  he's in Cinc. only as long as AW was with KU.

You cannot loose what you never had

    Go Bulls

Yup...that's the main point I had.  These guys abuse the word "commitment".  "I'm committed...till I'm not".  Didn't realize he was a May enrollee, but frankly, I'm ok if we can get some better talent with the new opening.

  11. Hearing rumblings about Stacy. Got my fingers crossed

Last year I thought we had ample WRs...then with injuries, it became clear: you can never have too many playmakers.

I'd put Miami as 70%, FSU at 25% and USF at 5%. He's got "swag"...watch his video, and UM just hired FSU OC Coley. So I'd guess UM will pull this guy. But having seen his tape, if we somehow got him, I'd be giddy.

With all this talent LOOKING to be fed footballs, a good QB should be happy to land here. Not sure why we can't see to attract [that said, White could be that guy].

thought I read coley, the coach, wasn't involved in recruiting him

Don't know, but with FSU no sans OC, it seems UM gets the edge of FSU.  He's a beast...and would make an impact here quickly, IMO.

  12. This probably isn't the right place for this thread, but I assume Trip will move it.

Holtz was thinking that he had Woulard locked up, which he did until Holtz was fired.  No knowing whether AW would have stayed committed, you can't blame it on Holtz for this year.  You can blame Holtz for not bringing in a QB last year.

Based on what we are hearing, this will be a run first team.  I think we'll be fine a QB for next year, but I wouldn't be surprised to see a transfer.

Woulard was NEVER a lock.  He was gone the first time he got a better offer.  Holtz should've had 2 lined up...maybe he was afraid of bruising AW's ego.
