  1. I loved the Leavitt days but it has been a long time since those days. He made a mistake and paid for it. That said he is not coming back. The administration has made some bad decisions and it feels like we are coming back. But it seems like everyone is not on board until we are in a P5 conference and are playing Bama for the national championship. Guess what at that point season tickets wont be a few hundred bucks. They will be thousands. Enjoy the team now and cheer on their growth. It happens in steps not always leaps. Also do you think a P5 conference is going to pay attention to a team who has season ticket buyers bailing on them? Just saying. Looking forward to another great season. Go Bulls!!!
  2. This year I turn 40 and am on my 4th year of having season tickets. I always went to games but I did it one off. Each year my tailgating for the games has gotten better. Year 1 I had a cooler and a chair and I had 2 tickets. Year two my buddy bought two tickets and we got a tent and a grill. Last year I added a TV, quiet generator, and a Giant fan. This year I am getting a trailer to rig out for tailgating and getting USF decals and flags all over it. I am steadily getting more and more. I will one day pull up in an RV. HAHAHA
  3. I play on both. But I have a large group of friends that have been playing on ESPN for years so I cannot abandon that.
  4. Is there a date when they plan to send them out? I realize we have just under a month left before the season starts but I am anxious.
  5. As long as you are going. Sometimes we have to vent. In the dark years my wife would not allow me to wear a hat while watching on the TV because I would constantly throw the hat at the TV.
  6. I always play through ESPN. I doubt they are ending it. I just googled "2018 ESPN College Pick em" and there is a link. I clicked it and it says they are doing maintenance so it might be out in the coming days. Is there a TBP group on that site in years past?
  7. People want the big name schools. We forget that CJL wasn't getting Auburn year one. It took several years to pick up those teams and most of the time it was supposed to be their walk over out of conference game for them. That said Out of conference contracts are usually done years in advance. For example the deal we just got with Florida that starts in 4 years. 4-5 years ago CWT was still bringing us out of the Skip Holtz years and bulding up our team. We are moving forward.
  8. So what is your fix? Do you prefer to sit out the seasons until they are in a conference you like? Could we do better? Yes and we will. I am not disillusioned to believe we are on the verge of a title shot but you work on the house you have until you can sell it and get a better one. You don't sit there poking holes in the walls waiting for a new house to show up.
  9. We lost CJL after the 2009 season. It has been 9 years already. It might be time to let it go. As far as being in the AAC. This is where we are for now. Like Brass said I am sure the administration wants to be in a better conference too. We just have not found our in yet. But a bunch of fans not buying tickets and complaining isn't helping. Actually it is hurting. I prefer to go to the game and have a great time with friends and family. Accept the Bulls for what they are today and hope for better. They will get there.
  10. Here is a video I made of our Tailgating from 2016. I have not made one for last year but after the tailgate upgrade we are doing this season I will likely make one for this season.
  11. Puc I am not sure where you are sitting. I am over in Section 121 and people get rowdy and excited over there. A Few years ago I was on the 40 yard line and it seemed like people were more stiff. Maybe you just need to move. Come hang out with us South Endzoners and we will cheer with you.
  12. That is true. We have grown faster and seen more success in our short time having a team. I look forward to great things in the future. We will be able to look back and say "remember when we were in the AAC" or "remember when we didnt even have our own stadium"
  13. Congrats on the new family member. That is awesome. My friend and I have 6 season tix between us. We always reserve a few games for our sons to go with us. They love it. My son has been going to games since he was 3-4 he is now 8. He is a Bull through and through. You will really enjoy building that tradition with your son. Congrats again to you and your family.
  14. Seems like people still have an issue of the chicken and the egg. Yes we need to be in a better conference but we wont get there by not filling our stadium. Tickets are cheap right now. grab a couple season tickets and go watch some games. I will be keeping my tickets. I have survived terrible seasons and I am feeling better about the future.
  15. First off I think you need better friends if you cannot find someone to go with. That is what I am talking about. All I hear is a bunch of negative nancys. Wah Wah Wah.. There were years I would have loved an 8-4 record. We had some good talent leave last year but that is what happens in college football. A player is only there for 4 years if you're lucky. I am doubling down this season. I bought more tickets and I am buying a trailer for tailgating. GO BULLS!!!
  16. We bring our sons to a couple games a year so we like family friendly. The other games are usually just me and my boys or we have one or two we bring the wives. So like always it is a mixed bag. However our tickets are on the south end zone so that it where I park. That and I like to go to the Bulls Zone and it is better than walking around the stadium. As far as food goes I have a grill and usually grill up the food.
  17. I know everyone is looking forward to the season. But I am just as excited for tailgating. My group spends as much if not more preparing and tailgating as we do watching the games. It is also much more social. In the stadium you might talk or engage with people around you but tailgating you walk around and meet people, run into people you know, etc. Each year we try to add to the tailgate to make it that much better. Last year it was a generator, fan and TV. This year we are bringing a trailer. What kind of food do you guys make at tailgates? What is your go to Music? What have you found is your best lot to tailgate. Usually the food varies. I have done burgers, brats, steaks etc. My go to Music is typically country but we mix it up. After moving around a lot in the first year I like Lot 7. It is grass so it is not as hot as parking in a concrete lot. It is pretty wide open, close to the stadium and the Bulls Zone.
  18. I was just wondering when this was happening. I also wonder if/when they are doing the USF day in Ybor City.
  19. WE saw you several times in Lot 7 a few spots down from us. We were talking about your inflatable Rocky. Where did you get it from?
  20. I have seen you a few spots down from me several games last season. I wanted to know. WHERE did you get the inflatable Rocky? I have found a trailer and will be working the next month on getting it ready for football season. Excited. I don't mind paying for the extra spot as it is part of the fun.
  21. Yeah I saw a guy giving away a trailer. I am looking to do a bigger one though. With electricity, TV, a bar etc. I figured we would need to do two spots. I typically park over in lot 7 and are usually there early enough to get one of the first couple of rows. This may or may not be ready by this football season. Gotta get the right deal on a used trailer my buddy and I can work on.
