  1. Thread police. My bad. Seriously though why do people believe that if a topic has been brought up then it can not be discussed again. When you are talking to people do you research if they have already been in conversations talking about what you are? It's called being part of the great conversation. Sometimes the same subject comes up but due to timing new people may comment and may bring new information to the conversation. Simply put though if you do not like that this is a new thread then do not comment on it.
  2. My senior year was the season we hit 2 in the polls. At that time we regular upset big teams and made no apologies. Since then we have been on a horrendous downward spiral and people constantly ask "What's going on with your Bulls?" I find I often have to take a breath before I finish the laundry list of issues plaguing our team. That said I have still attended 2-3 games a year and try to watch as many games as are televised. Last season things hit rock bottom. I didn't even have energy to yell at the TV when watching it from home. I have higher hopes for this season and they really started looking decent in the 2nd half last week but I wonder if anyone else out there is still a little gun shy about how the rest of this season is going to pan out. I know we all miss those days. I hope we return to those days soon.
  3. Congrats man. My son came home the first day in a Bulls onesie. Train them early.
  4. Only idiots and irresponsible people get DUI's. Irresponsible AND unlucky ....if you drink and say you've never driven legally drunk, you're a **** liar. Unlucky? You make your own luck, and getting behind the wheel of a car drunk is you being a moron, not unlucky. I've never set foot behind the wheel when even remotely tipsy, let alone legally drunk. You had a breathalyzer handy to check yourself? And do you have one hooked up to your ignition, Paul Crew? I don't need a breathalyzer because if I enjoy more than 1 drink I don't drive. I also don't have that single drink then leave 5 minutes later and drive. I enjoy it with a meal and typically am at the establishment for an hour or more. I rarely drink anything other than beer and 1 beer of normal ABV over that time frame isn't enough to even come close to making a 200lb man tipsy. If I do go out intending to drink, i always have someone that is a DD, someone I can call, or a cab number in my wallet. Just last week I let a friend know days ahead of time he would need to pick me up from drinking. I got drunk, he came and got me and I left my car there for 24 hours. Some people are responsible and make arraignments prior to going out if they are needed. Guess you aren't. I agree Deters. There are no excuses here. I can't believe there has to be a difference of opinion on this. Just to be clear, nobody is saying that drinking and driving isn't irresponsible ... just that it's something all most who drink have done at one time or another in their lives. And, deters, to be perfectly honest, you sound like someone who scared themselves to death at some point driving after drinking and are determined not to have it happen again ... but if not, and you've done that ever since the very first time you started drinking, more power to you .... but I still think you're in the vast minority. Sure almost all of us have had one too many and got behind the wheel. I can tell you as I got older I have not done it in a very long time but we all knew the cost of what would happen if busted or worse. These players also know the costs. Especially assault on a firefighter. I can not think of one time (no matter how drunk) where I thought it was a good idea to swing at a cop or a firefighter. Even drunk you know they are the authority. Talent or not he has no place in college football. The sooner the NCAA starts hammering players with conduct violations the better off the teams and the schools that supports them will be. Unfortunately so many don't learn and end up thinking they are untouchable. Then they shoot someone while playing the pros.
  5. I am taking my 3 year old to his first fan fest this year. I have made us matching helmets and he has a Bulls Jersey to wear. Gotta start brainwashing them early.
  6. Holt's face makes me want to vomit. I am sick of seeing him chuckling in photos. Sick of him smiling on the sidelines. I am SICK AND TIRED of him making excuses. How many times has he said "had a few things gone the other way we would have won", or "our season starts again this Saturday?" I'm sorry Holtz but your season started in September like everyone else's did. You just didn't show up to most of the games. This is College Football country. We expect hard football played. You have been given time to recruit and shape your players and you have simply made things worse. He seems like he is having a grand ole time and I want him out. Get a real coach with some fire in his belly in here.
  7. The fact of the matter is we got used to being competitive. We got used to being in a bowl every season. We took down big name teams (i.e. FSU, Auburn, Miami) We were proud to be Bulls. For two of his three seasons as HC we are playing horribly when we should be at our best because we have so many tenured players returning. This is likely to be our 2nd season with no bowl invite. That hurts recruiting in a highly competitive recruiting market. Thus making the future look even more bleak. I will always be a Bull fan but I am sick of having friends say "What's up with your Bulls!" I hold Coach responsible. He is the one running the team and he is the one that needs to fix it or get out. Two seasons of excuses and promises are sickening.
  8. It is incredibly different. Free student tickets are a privilege for students. If people keep selling the tickets then they will take that privilege away. Plus they got a free student ticket with the intentions of selling it when I guarantee there was a student who really wanted to go to the game and can not because this slime was in line ahead of them.
  9. Has anyone noticed there being spots with better WiFi connection? When we tailgate we use our Ipad and Slingbox app to broadcast games onto a 32" tv. We need a decent signal. Looking at the wifi map for BrightHouse networks I am thinking that Lot 4 is our best bet. Just curious as to what everyone else has seen. Also The lots open 5 hours before game time (6pm game time 1pm lot open times.) Do you notice traffic backed up with people waiting to get into the lots for a game this big or will it be fine to get to the lots at 12:30-1:00?
