  1. Thats what I was thinking. I miss the days when it was just Knight Light trying to post 10,000 random stats that were all wrong.
  2. The question for the USF program should be how to crash the Big 12 (or be one of the top 56-64 teams when the split happens)? Any other target is mute and you might as well be asking how can USF win the Super Bowl.
  3. Absolutely. And its part of why I brought it up. It may seem like fun, or even a "sticking it to the man", but how many people are going to remember this in a negative light, and more importantly how many people that influence decision?
  4. Tell Harvey Weinstein the publicity line.
  5. They dont realize outside of Orlando and a few crybabies on social media they are the laughing stock of the college football world right now.
  6. Burning bridges with all of this Trans National Championship talk? The old money is already a crotchety bunch and I have to image the current power holders are not exactly loving this UCFake championship the uppity school in Oveido is promoting. It was already going to be tough for them to get meaningful games with the G5 divide, plus putting together a good product on the field. I wonder if a few AD's (or even conference commishes) put the kiabash on any future scheduling of the Golden Knights?
  7. If you take the comments made by the committee at face value none. They have gone on record as saying they ignore all rankings until it's time to put out theirs.
  8. The only thing Alabama did wrong (other than losing the Iron Bowl) was injuring Francois. It was pretty clear there was a lot of dysfunction around the coaching staff, but if the starting QB doesn't go down they finish ranked above USF.
  9. Its easily the most UCF thing imaginable. Schools like TCU, Boise, and Utah didn't have an inflated sense of self worth and a look at me attitude when the same thing happened to them in the last decade. What do you expect from that fan base in that town. The delusion of grandeur has never been higher.
  10. Right but there is a difference between taking someone late for depth and using a Day 1 (or is it day 2 now?) pick on an RB. If they bring in someone with one of the top 64 picks Mack will most likely be relegated to 3rd down/change of pace back. Except he hasn't done well picking up blitzes either so that may not be an option. If they draft someone in the 4th rd or later its an open competition/lean Mack and he would be looking at more touches. I think most would agree that Mack isn't a Gurley, Bell, or Elliot and will be in some kind of timeshare. It's just is he in a situation where he can look at 50% of the snaps, or will he be put into a situation where he gets 25% at best?
  11. Some of the mock drafts are listing RB as a position of need for Indy. I hope they dont give up on Mack yet, but the reality is a lot of the problems he had at USF showed up on film in the NFL. Couldn't be a consistent runner between the tackles and had a bit of the fumbleitits. Hopefully they let him get another season to take the reigns, but if Gore retires I could easily see them taking a Keriyan Johnson or a Nick Chubb in the second rd.
  12. Lets be honest, the Bucs are likely looking for a new QB in the next 3 years but it isnt because of Winston's throwing motion, its because he is a walking #metoo case.
  13. Any settlement they get should go directly to the Planchers.
  14. I will bet you a million dollars the national champion finishes with 1 loss this year.
  15. Agree 1000%. I think 10-2 wins the division next season.
  16. Fair enough. I agree there is a level to subjectivity seen in this sport you dont always get in other sports. I think its one of the things that makes the sport great, we can banter on the internet instead of getting work done about who the top 4 teams should be. Just like when they went from the BCS to the playoff, I think in 10 years we will miss this, mainly because the landscape is going to be different the school we support won't even be on the peripheral of the conversation. The top 56-64 schools are going to take their ball and go play with themselves and the rest of the 1A programs who have invested millions will be left as a "B" league.
  17. I never said anything about ucf inclusion or lack thereof. But sos isn't exactly subjective and I'm on my phone but the google search for Alabama sos puts them in the top 10 by at least 1 model https://www.teamrankings.com/college-football/ranking/schedule-strength-by-other But by any measure, please tell me how the Sec west = aac east
  18. Right we should have a system like the college basketball tournament. Where we all get excited that every 5th year Duke loses to some Sister Mary, meanwhile at the end of the tournament its still one of the same 7-10 teams who brings home the hardware.
  19. Based on what, their 30 point loss to Iowa? The system has been subjective for 100+ years (excluding the decade and a half we had computers calculating it for us, but that wasn't good enough for the average fan).
  20. I am because A) First time these two are meeting this season (not a rematch) B) They are easily the two most talented teams in the country The playoffs are working as intended. They increased the likely hood that the top team in the country would win the national championship. Just because the top two teams this season are from opposite divisions in the same country doesn't make it any less meaningful.
  21. Double post but I will add this: After that interview with Huepel I am 1000000% more excited to see Frost gone. That guy had the personality of an accountant not a head football coach. Frost is pure emotion.
  22. Auburn didn't show up and the one big break (the wrong call on the fumble return for a TD) went the Knights way. Its what they have done all season play hard and get huuuuge breaks.
  23. Since the outcome is pro P6/AAC I wanted to go ahead and preemptively get the narrative out there! Besides; USF beat Temple who beat Navy who is beating Virginia who beat Georgia Tech who beat Wake who beat Syracuse who beat Clemson, therefore, USF > Clemson!
