  1. I have no love for Orlando City but they do have an established fan base.... They'll probably average 15-20k per game. Soccer is pretty popular over in Orlando.
  2. This one is simple... those kids didn't graduate and move on to a masters program.... they quit because they got their feelings hurt. Dungy graduated and is coming back here for graduate school... and probably to work some of his dad's contacts to get a nice job down the road. Night and day different.
  3. I thought he was transferring/leaving the team anyways? He never seemed to mesh after he got her with either staff. I used to sit next to his dad in the stadium... he was never happy with the situation.
  4. Please God yes..... Need something positive at this point.
  5. I know your posts aren't renown for making sense but what the heck is that about? I think it was a dig on Dr. Rob.... which is weird as he didn't get his degree from USF in the first place...
  6. Nupe has a point.... Taggart can walk into any living room now and say "I even managed to get Aaron Lynch drafted". That in and of itself should turn some heads.
  7. +1 Why? Because he didnt live up to expectations? He was here longer than ND No... because the 5-6 times I met him he came across as a snot nosed brat who thought he was better than everyone else and didn't do a **** thing. Bulls come in all shapes and sizes. If another player had been here 4 years, didn't do a **** thing but came across as a snot nosed brat when you'd met him, would you have considered him a Bull? We'll agree to disagree.... the guy didn't contribute one positive thing to this program while he was here and was repeatedly called out for his lack of work ethic and respect for others. So no... I don't consider him a part of this program. Should he somehow make a 53 man roster I'm completely ok with him not mentioning he was ever part of this program.
  8. Met Hans twice... both times he was nice to the group I was with at the time.

  10. San Antonio, St. Louis, Orlando, Miami, Atlanta and the Bronx all seem to disagree with you. Ha! What proof do you have that Miami, Orlando, and Atlanta can support an MLS team? Miami is one of the most fair weather cities, they can't even support a baseball team and the only reason anyone cares about the NBA team is they are winning. Atlanta couldn't even support an NHL team. I don't know if you have ever been to Atlanta but black people and white conservatives don't care about soccer. some of the best soccer players our country has ever produced are black... How does that change the fact that the majority of African-Americans don't care about soccer? The growth of youth soccer programs inside the city limits of Atlanta would indicate otherwise.
  11. San Antonio, St. Louis, Orlando, Miami, Atlanta and the Bronx all seem to disagree with you. That statement is misleading. Miami is not a done deal... Beckham wants to build the thing at the port. Good luck evicting billionaires. And why would anyone living in Miami agree to committing public resources to a soccer stadium when the infrastructure is so poor that you literally cannot install a new toilet in some neighborhoods? At least in Orlando, they had the good sense to evict the poor folks in Paramore. Thats how you get 'er done. I was referring to the sustained attendance numbers that those cities (substitute Ft Lauderdale for Miami) have been able to put up to show they can support soccer.

  13. No one asked his opinion, it wasn't his place to try to rain on a former player's, and now Ambassador to our program, parade. To me it speaks volumes that he was drafted by San Francisco. Because he clearly wasn't that bad if Willie recommended him. Sounds like it may of been a personal beef between the two. No place to air dirty laundry like that. Especially not at that moment. He was the one being paid to work here, not Lynch. He should be more mature than that. The fact that Lynch is referred to as an ambassador of USF in anyway is embarrassing.
  14. I missed the part where this was about a kid.... Lynch is a grown man.
  15. If this gets Hans fired then IMO it says alot about CWT and none of it would be good. When we get to a point that telling the truth isn't the right thing to do we've gone down the wrong path as a society.
  16. Good for Hans.... the kid was an ass the entire time he was here to the staff... I'm giving him a pass on this one.
  17. It's not our state song and Ole Miss plays that. I think he was referencing the racial overtones of the lyrics.... This is a bad idea... there's already a movement to get it removed as the state song.... you'd see the same backlash if HOT tried to incorporated it here.
  18. You beat a team by 3 points for the first time in 4 tries..... nice whipping boy... good effort.... idiot....
  19. Oh lord.... watching out for the falling sky..... I agree with Steve....
  20. That's BS.... and I'll use Duke and UNC as examples but you could put any other successful program in there.... There are kids on UNC's team that unless they're up by 40 never see a minute of playing time... that said, those kids work their tail off during practice to help the starters and backups get better and everyone of them is on a scholarship. The kids on the bench are just as important as the starters. You and I have no idea what Jordan contributes off the court and in practice.
  21. Wow... that worked out nicely for him. Good luck to the kid.
  22. Glad I'm not the only one that see's Raleigh that weigh.... the people there always strike me as stuck up snobs... it's like the Boston of the south.
  23. I have to echo the thoughts on Charlotte... I was born in Matthews and it's mind blowing when I get back there these days. That said, I'd sacrifice alot for the opportunity to move back up there. Charlotte is and will always be considered home. West from Charlotte to the mountains is very nice also. I'm not a big fan of the Raleigh area.... seems too crowded.
