He might have been helpful but I don't think it would have mattered.... It's becoming quickly apparent that blood is thicker than anything at Armwood. I would expect a good amount of their talent to start heading east as long as Callahan is there.

If Buchanan goes UF then we're sitting pretty good for Woulard.... if he goes to Ole Miss then UF will offer Woulard and he'll commit to UF... simple as that.

Wow. So if you were the AD you wouldn't take as much time as you were given to do the best job you could to defend your school against any fines or punishment? I believe there's probably a way to both step up and admit you could have done a better job while also pointing out those things you had no contol of. Heck, the example you gave is one that I don't think you can blame on the school. A phony bill created by a TECO employee? Had to be a quality job. I wish they would expell the student from the entire county if they or their parents were caught lying. Maybe then parents would think twice before trying it. May sound severe but this is not a heat of the moment mistake - they have a whole lot of time to realize what they're doing is wrong and correct it. No... I would step up and say that the administration screwed up. I was using the TECO paperwork as an example... there are many others. The report was pretty straight forward... they're not getting out of this. Callahan has been recruiting players since I was in high school in the early 90's and they finally got nailed. This wasn't a heat of the moment thing... it's been going on for years. They just finally had some parents who were sloppy in the process and made some really dumb choices... then they tried to deny those choices in the interviews and couldn't even get that right. The worst part of all of this is that these kids are being raised to think it's ok to do stuff like this... at the end of the day I don't actually see any of these parents being remorseful in any way... they still think they were entitled to break the preexisting rules. Yes it's on the parents... but it's also on Callahan and the principle... both were up to their ears in this thing.

Yes there was a legit concern academically this semester for D'vo. Yes it worked out and he should graduate and enroll at USF as scheduled. Don't be surprised if they red shirt him to help him concentrate on his academics this fall... He's very close to the edge and will need to work very hard to transition to college life and stay eligible.

County AD cracks me up.... says it will take the full 10 days to submit their response to the FHSAA. Really? TECO has already confirmed that their employee falsified the paperwork indicating that the student was living in the district... that one thing right there is enough to make them forfeit the entire season and title. Exactly how are you going to respond to that? TECO mis-remembered? LOL

You may have missed his point in your attempt to gloss and deflect.... If Jesuit and TC are recruiting so much then why have their football teams been less than average for close to the last decade?

1. None of the 5 players listed were targets for USF. 2. Callahan has previous violations and was linked as being involved in atleast 2 of these situations in this report. I would be shocked if he is still the coach at Armwood come this fall.

Yes. FHSAA does it all the time. I just got done reading the entire report.... the state title is gone... and I can't see a way that Callahan is still there in the fall... He was specifically involved in two of the players situations.

Maybe I wasn't being clear... it's not Va Tech's call.... their state government controls those decisions and they've said repeatedly that they want them in the same conference... if Va Tech ever jumps ship again then whatever conference they go to must take UVA too. Same thing with NCSU... If you think NCSU and UNC or Duke for that matter are going to be playing in separate conferences then you need to take spend some time in Raleigh.... ain't going to happen. Clemson, Miami and GA Tech might end up moving... I'd be shocked if FSU doesn't... but your core of the ACC... UNC, Duke, NCSU, Wake.... that's a package deal.
