  1. ...and would you rather be in a conference with Miami, NC, NC State...or Boise State, Houston, and SMU? The former. Travel is easier and they have established names. Boise has done a great job building itself, but it is far away. Houston and SMU have potential, but they are a long way off from being established. And UNC certainly brings quality every year in basketball. Now we've gotten completely from the topic of my post which started this. I was talking about on the field football quality, not name recognition, location or anything else. Take away FSU, Clemson and VaTech, and the new Big East blows away the new ACC in terms of quality of football teams at the moment. VA Tech isn't leaving the ACC unless the B12 is talking UVA too.... And UNC isn't going anywhere unless NCSU & Duke get a ticket too.
  2. That scenario could never happen.... VTech can't split from Virginia and likewise, NCSU will never go anywhere without UNC, Wake and Duke.
  3. Yes... that's flagstone.... bricks are created... flagstone is cut from a bigger piece of stone.
  4. Commencement is set for Friday.... again... they're trying to get all the details done on the building itself... I doubt they'll waste the time to setup for basketball. Could be wrong... been wrong before... but I'm willing to be it's a concrete floor tomorrow.
  5. What floors are you talking about? The basketball court? I'll wager you won't see that till much later. They have to be setting up for graduation and with all the final touches to the actual building there won't be any time to lay the basketball floor for absolutely no reason.
  6. Great pics ... I didn't realize the third level was bench seating. I believe I heard those are going to be changed in the future to regular seats (same with the soccer stadium) Man I hope not... some of us enjoy that.
  7. Yes... surprisingly enough they did install floors at the dome.
  8. As a guy who is 6'4 those look like very wide rows.... me likey!!!!
  9. Dial back your rhetoric.... Outside of the indoor practice facility and a possible OCS... both of which we're reasonably certain where they're going to go... what other athletic facilities are they going to build? Everything else is brand new.
  10. Let me add to it for you... JD and the UF President are tight so UF will be offering Poly accreditation till Poly can secure it's own.... Out of the goodness of their heart.
  11. Long term plan is to have a parking garage on that lot IIRC
  12. Yes... there's some sort of 5 year window... apparently UF is going to somehow blanket the new university with their accreditation till Poly can secure their own. Good of our friends to the north to help out... UF Prez is tight with JDA.
  13. So can we stop building it now? Let's go take the signs down.... now.
  14. That's where it'll be... but about half that size... use one of the FB practice fields for an example.
  15. Yes they are... and that is where this facility is slated to be built. My guess is that they move the soccer practice field to the far north end of the FB Practice fields... or they reorganize the existing basketball courts and move it over there... there's also a large grassy area between the football fields and track stadium that could be usable space.
  16. We need this before we need an OCS.... I'm a huge OCS supporter but this is a must!!
  17. If he's talking about it that means their already moving forward on it sooner than later. Freaking Awesome!!!!
  18. JDA is talking out of his ass.... the money will stay with USF or Poly... but it stays with a school.
  19. Same reason Bivins and others have gone on them. Free trips to different parts of the country that some recruits may never get the chance to go to. It's a no brainer if you think about it in the proper context.
