With the wind forecasts, might be a good day to leave the tailgate tents in the car. The sun should feel nice!
-
Last Saturday my daughter asked me what earrings she should wear. I asked her why she wasn't wearing her USF ones so she put them on.
That was at halftime.
-
This is my least favorite game time, but let me focus on the positive:
1 - Should be a little cooler so tailgating may actually be pleasant.
2 - More apt to tailgate after the game (especially with a win) since it won't be too late at night
3 - Since it will be Veterans/Military Appreciation Day they will either have the paratroopers landing on the field or a nice flyover that will be visible in the daylight.
Anything else?

The music and the other hype up antics are fine early and when the momentum is going our way. It was terrible when we gave up the lead in the fourth quarter and they're trying to get us to vote on the plays of the game (all from the first half) and trying to keep the crowd hyped up. I don't feel like singing and dancing when my team is giving up a 19 yard run on 1st and 30.
Part of home field advantage should be don't fuel the hype/momentum of the other Team. I'm sure ECU fans enjoyed the fourth Qtr music more than we did.
Positive energy is good when it doesn't look delusional.
This is when I wish I personally knew a football player to get their side of this discussion. I do know that I see the kick-off team swaying to the music before the kickoff even when we're down (at the start of the 2nd half - not just after we score). I gotta believe our defense hears the music on third downs as well. If you had it your way there would be no noise at all when we're down. Heck - tell the cheerleaders to go home when we're down by more than two scores in the fourth quarter.
Regardless, I've always thought that the music was for both the fans and the players, and especially the players when the fans are not there or if they're too quiet.

Am I the only one wondering why it would be purple regardless of who we are playing?
Exactly - why purple in the first place? Homecoming shirts should be school colors, right?

It easy to look back now and say "yeah well what I would've done is..."
Back when this happened there was A LOT of anti-Leavitt feeling on this board because of the fact that his teams couldn't deliver down the stretch and also how some thought he had misused Mike Ford as he was the sole reason we won our bowl game against NIU that year.
Now its clear that eventually recruiting really is the key to how successful our program can be, maybe had Leavitt had a couple of more recruting years with a BCS tag...
But you gotta remember that he didn't get fired for "striking" Miller, but for forcing his coaches and players to change their story. Leavitt got canned for the cover-up more than the crime so he had to go.
CJL was the father of this program and its a shame how his legacy ended around here, its going to take something BIG (opening of an OCS in 2018?) for USF and Leavitt to agree to some kind of public appearance or ceremony which kind of sucks because the man loved the school
.
That is never going to happen. Nothing "BIG" enough will happen for him and/or the University to want to have all of it dug up and written about again prior to the "appearance or ceremony." It won't be worth it.

I'm on the bus. USF is my only college so I have no other ride.
I manged at least to get a seat by the window and I'm mashing my face against the glass trying to see what's coming up ahead but I can't tell.

My call worked ...
Can you send an email to USF?
-
What the?
-
Just called it!

I beat you to it. Check the topic below yours! Glad someone else noticed it too!

Just tuned into the Temple Vanderbilt game and noticed that Vanderbilt has "Anchor Down" on the back of their jerseys instead of names. They still have three timeouts. I'm confused - what am I missing?
I do see that the letters are black on black jerseys. Is that the loophole?

I believe you can get into the club with tickets in any section with at least a $1,000 donation to the Bulls club. The number of tickets that you can get Club access with the one $1,000 donation, I'm not sure.
You can always look at the tickets I have for sale in a thread below, but they are not club access though. But they are on the Bulls side of the field so sun is at least at your back for most games.
Otherwise give John Lewis a call to give you more info on what's available. 813-974-7492.

I did get something yesterday that had a schedule magnet, membership card, window decal, and game stickers.
I've used my Hooters discount card I got earlier twice already!

Stripping out the Lot 7 parking pass if anyone is interested - $100. I will post as a new topic but wanted to get this one changed.

It was not full as of last week - this I know for sure.

What do you mean when you say now they have a bowl possibility? A bowl has been a possibility since the season began. It has only been less and less possible with each loss. The possibility of a bowl has not been shown to be a motivator for this team so far.
