  1. My 4 extra seats are in 113, my regular seats are in 115. CLASSIC!!

Those are the ones you got extra as a season ticket holder, right?

The other question to ask if he is a $1,000 donor or grandfathered $100 donor as that has a lot to do with the priority points. I have two in 113 and six in 123. I'm a grandfathered $100 donor for the 113 tickets and got four in 236 as my extra FSU tix. I was thinking mine would be in the third level, so I'm very happy. No way was I thinking there were four open seats anywhere near me to get for the FSU game. I saw someone got seats directly behind his current tix and thought that had to be a lucky dude.

  2. A little background of myself since I'm a rare poster on this forum, but I'm a "31 year old, c/o '04 die hard who won't sit anywhere but the student section" fan. I still have a lot of friends who go and buy guest tickets, I prefer to be in the section because of the atmosphere. I yell, I scream, I bang on the chairback in front of me. Don't knock me because I don't buy the season tickets as a rabid fan -- I still pay my $9, I still go to games, I still support my team. Just on the north end zone. I tried sitting other places before and it seemed so dead to me.

Love your support. I really do. Don't take this the wrong way, but it's time to move to an alumni section. Take that support and spread it to other parts of the stadium. Do you still tailgate with students too?

    Just my honest opinion.

Yes - either that or start investing in Just for Men.

  3. fighting flamingos is stupid.

War Flamingos it is and War Flamingos it will stay.

MagPie...im sorry hun. I know you're a HUGE USF supporter. But you have to open up a little and see that War Flamingo is as stupid as "two-bits", 'toomers corner", "boomer sooner", "woo pig sooey", "howards rock", "cowbells", "sod cemetaries", "burning shoes", "burning couches", "smoke tunnels" ...its DUMB! But its ours...and was crafted seemingly out of nowhere during that magical season and is simply not going away. At least, not while im still alive...and i believe im pretty young cause I was at USF the same years as you so...War Flamingo ain't goin anywhere for a long time! ;)

    GO BULLS!!!

Yes - War Flamingo. And keep them the small inflatable ones and let the student section keep them. Let's not try to force this to be anything other than how it started out as. I sit in the south end zone and will enjoy looking across and seeing the flock of them and telling the story of how they came to be.

  4. I think I'm doing my part. Just bought a new car Saturday and the guy asked if I worked at USF. I didn't realize it but he noticed that I had worn a USF shirt earlier in the week when I met him for a test drive and then again when I came in to buy. Of course during football season I wear the colors every Friday.

  5. Another indication of the growth of the program. When my kids were little and in the Jr. Bulls Club they got free admission into all the football games and we sat in 124 or 125.

Those were the good old days .... Used the JBC ticket to bring friend with my daughter and there were plenty of seats around us in our section so never a problem sitting with us. Wouldn't happen today.

Yep - and they used to choose two every game to walk out with the ref to the middle of the field to watch the coin toss. I was about 1,000 times more excited than my six year old daughter when she was picked for the homecoming game

    to do it.

  6. Who did you meet? What did they say? How was the event managed? What sigs did you get (will it be on ebay? :) )?

Let the rest of us know how the day went. I've got my own memories from my attendance (before it was called Fan Fest - I believe it was Fan Appreciation Day or something like that. And it was held on the practice fields).

    Please share.

Yes Bulliever - I too went to the ones on campus. Back then there were so few people that you could watch the last part of practice and then the players just walked around and gave autographs.

  7. My daughter walked around and got a bunch of autographs on the schedule poster. I looked and all I saw was girl names. Apparently she was more interested in finding all cheerleaders. They were definately easier and faster to get than the players, so I'll give her that.

I got Coach to sign my Notre Dame ticket and actually made it about 30 yards away before realizing I actually picked up his Ray Bans off the table forgetting mine were on my hat! No one even noticed, but his wife was thankful when I returned them. She was very nice taking many pictures for people so they could get the whole family in.
