  1. Agree. Moving on. Why talk about what ifs and could haves?

Let's look forward and handle business. Everyone can agree we missed out on some chances and we seem to have learned from it.

Every week is important as the last. Keep winning and the rest will fall into place.

It's what we do on message boards.  Let the team stay focused on SMU - they need to.  Us?  We can still enjoy talking about what ifs and it will not hamper our team's efforts on the field.  Unless you are a member of team - then by all means, disregard what I said and get back out on the practice field!!

  2. Hahahahahaha, your basis of rivals comparison is OSU and UM.

I'm with you on a rivalry when the game is upon us.  It's seven weeks out and one team is .500 and the other is .000.  Not much to talk about.  I rarely see any UCF people on here talking nonsense.  I see lots of our own.

The comparison makes sense to me.  We are where we are and UCF is our rival (one that I hope we can leave behind someday).  But given that they are a rival, our hopes for their failures goes beyond game day.  Once local recruits realize they cannot start for a P5 team or don't want to ride the bench for one, they will look at us and UCF.  Right now I would think we are gaining an advantage, no?

  3. I can predict with 95 percent assurance (that's audit quality!) that the next coach of the USF Bulls will not be Greg Schiano. Skingraft has his sources. I have mine. And if not for the fact that religious reasons prevent me from betting, I'd put money on it.

Muah hahaha.... like I said, nothing is etched in stone

Except for Bench starting the second series of the second half. That of course as we all know was most definitely set in stone!

  4.

The rule i in regards to the jersey, not the pants:

In the NCAA rulebook, Rule 1-4-5 says that other than the player's number, the jersey may contain only the player's name, school name, NCAA logo, sleeve stripes, the American and/or state flag and a logo for the school, conference, mascot, postseason game, memorial or the military.

The rule also states: "By interpretation, only military service academies may substitute words such as Honor, Integrity, etc., for the player's name on the back of the jersey ... civilian institutions may not substitute other words for the player's name."

    Where's the pant leg rule?

i don't think there is a pant leg rule

Yes - there can only be two of them.  Except for me - I'm allowed three.

  5. So I was rummaging around the gousfbulls.com site and found a list of the upcoming give-always.

Surprisingly (to me anyway) USF is proposing a white out for our game against Syracuse. Have we ever really had any success with these in the past? Even in our happier days? Sure we pulled off a green out of almost a good third of Doak Campbell a few years ago.

But really, shouldn't we be enjoying sell-outs before we try to color coordinate?

    Link to the give-a-way schedule:

  6. Band is right spot, Other than the last few minutes of first half they are there, loud and into the game, unlike other student sections that seem to empty out starting the end of the 3rg qt to middle of the 4th. I do wonder why they didn't have a Microphone this week, they were not nearly as loud as the FAMU band.

FAMU clearly outplayed our much larger band, in terms of how much louder they were.

You sure about this? It has a lot to do with where you're sitting in respect to the band(s). In section 209 it might have seemed like FAMU was louder because they were pointed more toward us. If the Herd were still in the same section as last year I think it would have sounded louder for sure.

  7. Also seemed like the bands were playing over each other a lot at the beginning.

Could have sworn that some board member here posted back awhile the rules for engagement.

Anyway, maybe it was first game wrinkles that needed to be ironed out.

I do like the band in the end zone, though.

  8. I saw the same thing on Ticketmaster and chuckled a little bit with the "Not Many Left!" notation.  I figured their definition of not many left may be more of a stretch than I would have given it.

But regardless, how are single games being sold?  I notice on the Ticketmaster site that no seats are available in the Club Access sections.  Has USF not released those sections for single games yet?  I'm pretty sure those are not sold out.

And for the other sections that are listed, it looks as though you are paying 20% more than the per game price we paid (including our donations) for our season tickets. Will there be an opportunity for people to buy single game tickets with club access?

  9. If you somehow have two vouchers. And no need to get there early - you have until halftime to get it - guaranteed.

I may have been wrong here. Someone told me they heard/saw on a commercial that the flags were being given away to the first 5,000 people. I guess season ticket holders don't have to be one of the first 5,000 to get theirs.

So yeah get there early and get a flag for every window if you have a good sized group!

  10. "...and most importantly all the money goes to USF" only goes so far.  You say that as though it should end the discussion because, really that's all the matters right?  Not always.

I'm just saying that I would like to think I'm getting a better deal by buying parking for all of the games up front.  Either there's a little discount or perhaps they're closer to the stadium.  If they indeed do charge only $15 to park in the public parking then I'm getting neither.  Again, look at the new map with Lot 7 being the same distance as Lot 6.

In fact, now that they moved the Lot 7 season ticket holders into other lots like Lot 6, I would venture to say Lot 6 will be pretty full and we will be having to walk past a near empty Lot 7.  If that's the case, I will not buy a season parking pass next year and park much closer in Lot 7.   And that should make everyone happy because USF (or whoever) will get the same amount of revenue from me.

  11. I thought the per game rate for game day parkers was always a little more than what we season ticket holders paid for on a game-by-game basis when purchasing all home games at once ($20 on game day versus $15 X 6=$90 for season ticket holders).  Otherwise we're not getting any volume discount.  Sure, it's called reserved parking - not economy parking so I guess there is supposed to be some value in having a spot held for you, but with recent attendance, that should not have to come into play.  But also in the past, the game day parking was a little further from the stadium.  Now, it is pretty much even with Lot 6.

I also noticed the article about student parking being moved to Lot 8.  What is being done with Lot 4 now?
