  1. Dang...single followed by double FP, dude...your screwed @USF_Grouper ;-)
  2. Jeff's ok in my book. Some levity from a student writer is cool by me.
  3. Some news with not much added value: http://www.tampabay.com/blogs/bulls/whats-the-holdup-with-usf-and-charlie-strong/2305846
  4. Maximize payout by putting most of the cost on Texas the first two years. USF can't get anywhere near 5mil for two years but that is what is owed by Texas. Then renegotiate post 2 years and pay more on the next contract based on performance and savings from first 2 years. Would require some trust from both USF and Strong but would stick it to Texas. Like I said this is probably highly unlikely...
  5. I was really hoping Strong would be in place prior to the dead periods (JUCO 11th and all others 12th). For those real #baymade players that, an in person chat from Strong might make all the difference.
  6. BTW I think a two year contract is highly unlikely...I think it's probable USF won't get as good a deal as we would like, bc Texas, but they will mostly like get Strong.
  7. I am not really sure. I guess I mention it based on the rumors that Strong wants to coach somewhere he can finish out his career. If so and he is considering USF as such an institution, seems like the buyout could be a point of negotiation.
  8. So I wonder if USF could ink a 2 year deal with Strong and then revisit things once the Texas strings expire...
  9. BTW @Brad...I was wondering when you will power up and transform back into Bulliever once more
  10. What the crap...didn't think I would see the day where Trip is on point over Brad (all in fun) This is all quite a roller coaster ride of emotion for many though
  11. This looks like it could be in the right line of thought...thx @Orlando Bull
  12. I guess this is the snag and if it hasn't happened there must be some legs that Texas has to hold up the process. Would be some sweet justice to make Texas pay after trying to get into the Big 12 and Texas knowing all along they weren't going to allow it. Reality is though we won't want to make Texas mad due to the possibility of getting into the conference in the future.
  13. Good for Tom. More fodder for the TBP fire! Obviously it means it a done deal and he will be back to Terminate the competition as USF's head coach
  14. Some interesting tidbits in this article...apparently Martin came to rep Texas and make sure USF isn't low balling. Haven't read Texas contract but I wonder how much influence they can impose on the contract negotiations so that Texas doesnt lose money?
  15. More news http://www.sportstalkflorida.com/college/usf-coaching-search-updates-strong-remains-target/
  16. Some news http://www.tampabay.com/blogs/bulls/source-bulls-have-60-40-shot-at-landing-strong/2305839
  17. Hahaha...no its a fact NewEnglandBull I do believe USF + Power Conference = CWT Dream Job...it's home for him
  18. For the record, IF USF were still in power conference, as CWT thought he was going to be when he arrived, he stays. He never went to USF but he grew up here, played high school ball here, and this is home. As someone who grew up in Tampa and has lived on Long Island and now Boulder, believe me, he is gonna miss that FL sunshine.
  19. This is where I am. In that video I posted earlier, I really think you can see CWT was torn about the decision. But he has high ambition, wants to win a national championship, shatter some ceiling. I respect him for that.
  20. Congratz brother! Saw a pic of your little guy the other day...goes by fast. Applying for faculty positions was in Tampa last week but had to much going on to visit anyone :-( Now stop acting like you got a source...your getting everyone's panties in a bunch.
  21. Some news...looks like he is in Tampa http://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/18243353/charlie-strong-preliminary-talks-south-florida-bulls-head-coaching-job
