  1. Oh, I wasn't questioning your calling out Green's breakout play...just that you've done it FOUR different times...
  2. LOL, there's no doubt Danny Green has been on fire, but you'd think that Bruce is his dad or something...get off the D...
  3. It's like two completely different teams out there. So frustrating.
  4. Smazza, do you still think the Heat will win the series? Either way, they'll have to win at least two games in a row to do it (already game four and now game five or lose game five and win games six and seven). I think whoever wins game five is going to win the series. It'll be interesting to see which Heat team will show up in game five. If they show the defensive tenacity and attacking on offense they showed in games two and four, they'll win. If they go back to being lazy and complacent, they'll lose.
  5. WHO...ARE...YOU??? Seriously though, good calls on the games. Now, who's going to win game five?
  6. It's been a game full of runs by both teams. I like what I'm seeing from the Heat, though. They're attacking more inside than they did in games one and three. As has been the case with this series, however, they collapsed before the half and let the Spurs get back in the game. We'll see what happens in the second half. Go Heat!
  7. Mario Chalmers is a decent player overall. His shooting percentage and production has improved only slightly though since LeBron and Bosh came. Chalmers does seem to step up his game in the playoffs, which is good. I actually expect Norris Cole to overtake Chalmers at some point. His on-the-ball defense is better than Chalmers. He just has to improve his ball handling skills and decision making.
  8. I doubt it could turn into a worse situation for him than with the Jets. I hope he does alright there, so long as it's not against the Dolphins.
  9. how is it ridiculous if you agree with him? The comment about LeBron being 'average' in the 90s is ridiculous. I disagreed with that comment. But I agree with Rodman that the Bulls would beat the current Heat. It'd be a closer series if Wade weren't injured though.
  10. stick to moderating this board i have been handicapping sporting events for close to 50 years
  11. Nonetheless, big win. Hopefully they keep it going into San Antonio.
  12. ****, I should've gone to game two instead of game one....it would've been a helluva lot more fun. Oh well.
  13. Sweep LMAO...c'mon now, they didn't even sweep the '97 Miami Heat...
  14. What bothers me about game one is the Heat led in nearly every single major statistical category...field goal %, three-point shooting %, rebounds (very rare) and assists (rare). Plus it was at home and LeBron had a triple-double. Yet they still lost. On the other side, the Spurs did have more blocks, steals, less turnovers and a higher free throw shooting % which obviously made up for it. The Heat's keys to the game: -Must find a way to get it inside better for higher percentage shots. Bosh shooting from the outside doesn't stretch out the defense unless he's hitting the shots, which he hasn't been doing. They shot well from the outside for game one, but their inside percentage was anemic. -Bosh has to step it up on shooting, defense and on the boards! -Wade needs to take whatever he took for game 7 of the Pacers series and game 1 of this series. Keep it up. -The Spurs only had four turnovers. That's amazing. The Heat must force more and get out in transition where they're at their best. -If Wade and Bosh are struggling, LeBron's going to have to go more Jordan and less Magic in game 2. -Like the interior offense, the Heat's interior defense must improve. They can't let the old man have 20 and 12 again. -The Heat shot 70% from the line. That's pathetic. Just one more of those could've given Miami the opportunity to tie the game at the end of game one with a three. -Don't let Battier play again. It's a shame, but for some reason, he's been off on his shooting and he's getting owned inside. The Heat were obviously pretty tired after a tough Pacers series. I do think they'll slowly wear down the Spurs throughout this series, but they've undoubtedly got to win this game tonight. Going down 0-2 and heading to San Antonio for three games would be extremely difficult to overcome. I'm confident they'll win tonight and take two in San Antonio. We shall see. Go Heat!
  15. Pretty ridiculous but what else would you expect from Rodman? Lol. I do agree that the 90s Bulls would beat the current Heat in a seven-game series, though.
  16. Perhaps you're referring to other Heat fans crying about the officiating? I think this series has been poorly officiated on both sides and I agree those two calls you mentioned should've gone the other way. I'm just refuting the notion that the series has gone in the Heat's favor, which is certainly hasn't. And I don't think the officiating has prevented Miami from winning one of the two games they ended up losing. They've put themselves in this situation with poor support and bench play with the lone exception being game three. The Heat are letting the Pacers set the tone and it should be the other way around. Too much iso and standing around on offense. They need to get it together soon. I'm confident they will.
  17. Not the Heat. LeBron. Really you have to be biased not to see it. With the rare exception of last night, LeBron routinely bulldozes and hacks people and gets no call then receives touch fouls on the other end. It is way beyond ridiculous. The thread originated after Bulliever watched game one and pertains to this series. My point is that in this series it hasn't been the case with regards to LeBron. He had five fouls in game one and fouled out in game four. He's been called for offensive fouls and been assessed technicals. Therefore, the assertion that for this series he's been getting the benefit of calls is simply not the case. Biased? No. I certainly realize LeBron has gotten the benefit of the doubt more often than not for his career. So did Jordan and so did Kobe. But as far as this series is concerned, it simply hasn't been the case.
  18. Sorry, but with each game, this thread becomes more and more ridiculous... As far as this series is concerned, it really couldn't be further from the truth.
  19. Yeah I got that. The Pacers have gotten quite a few favorable calls from their flopping as well. Therefore, it's more even. It's just that this series in particular hasn't been in the Heat's favor at all in either regard.
  20. Okay, let me get this straight: -The Pacers have shot more free throws (108 to 79) -The Heat have been called for more personal fouls (85 to 78) -LeBron was called for five fouls in game one -The Pacers have been called for one more technical foul (4 to 3) -The Heat have been called for one more defensive 3-seconds (3 to 2) -Delay of game calls are even at 1 -Traveling calls are even at 3 -The Pacers have been called for one more offensive foul (10 to 9) -Two of the Heat's offensive fouls have been called against LeBron and one against Bosh But somehow the series is blatantly being called in the Heat's favor...
  21. the idea that Miami went out and purchased 2 of the games best players is another reason to dislike them LeBron was #1 for sure, but Bosh has been a top 10-15 player for his career. Everyone seems to forget that all three took pay cuts to play together. Fricken' Joe Johnson has a higher salary than LeBron!
  22. Usually, I'd agree with you. Smazza's right: Stars get the benefit of the doubt when it comes to fouls and such. However, I'm not sure how you came to the conclusion that this series has been officiated in Miami's favor. In game one, Indiana had 32 free throw attempts to Miami's 25. In game two, Indiana had 32 free throw attempts to Miami's 26. That's 13 more free throw attempts for Indiana. This is in a series that's been decided by five points total thus far. In this series, LeBron has 5 and 3 personal fouls, respectively. In most games, he barely sniffs three fouls, much less five. I saw Wade's elbow. He should be assessed a flagrant, fined and/or suspended for that. I guess you missed the elbow that David West gave to Mario Chalmer's recently injured shoulder in game two (what a convenient location to hit him).....
  23. I was really hoping for a Heat-Knicks matchup, as the Knicks had played the Heat well this year. That's a shame...
  24. Agree with gausfbull. Bo had nearly 3,000 yards rushing in his first four seasons (and keep in mind he only played in 10 games per season after the baseball season had ended). So his personal play was not bust-worthy. Perhaps a case could be made by his pick being squandered by the Bucs? It's a shame he played baseball 40% of each season and ended up having a career-ending injury...he had potential to be the best runningback ever.
