  1. Huh? Pitt creamed us. In fact, I believe they have won all 3 meetings since we have joined the Big East. That's what I thought :-?
  2. You can't go wrong with a Dukie and a Bull. That is the ultimate combination
  3. smazza... why don't you fly out to some of the games. You might get this 'feeling' when you see players compete in our school colors. Until then, you may never know. Side note: almost 44k… that is sick.
  4. Some of us are still confused. Nice to see that you’re approaching 7k.
  5. I thought this was a $50 admission? Per Brett and Greg.
  6. Bingo... and we are better than that. There are also other schools that pride themselves with moral victories... and I hope we are not one of them.
  7. Don't pay attention to mav boy. He doesn't understand that games like these happen... especially in a conference like the BE. Look at the ACC, SEC, etc.
  8. ^^^ don't remind me. Yesterday was not a good day in Durham. At least the women won today against the Tar Holes. Anyway, we just need to stop with the moral victories... it's pointless. Just be proud and support the team from start to finish. We need to show them that we do support them. If not, then why would they put in 110% on the court... what would be the point? To them, it would seem that no one cares. Go Bulls!
  9. We all should be proud... PERIOD. Win or Lose. We have to change our attitudes. If we want to be big time then we have to act like we are big time. Fans of big programs stay for the singing of the Alma Mater... whether they are blowing someone out or if they, themselves, are being destroyed. The attitude must change. I am not expecting sellouts, but I do expect support. Programs go up and down, but you will always be an alum of the University of South Florida. When you can say that you are a PROUD USF BULL... then everything else goes out the window. No moral victories... you show up to the games and give them your support. No Moral Victories... No Pity... Just be PROUD! We lost… but I’m still proud that yesterday a group of young men went up to NY and represented my alma mater (and played until the whistle was blown). The day we are consistent in winning games… then that will just be an extra bonus, a BIG bonus. For now… Mac is our coach and I’ll leave it up to DW to make the decision after the season or in two years or in five years, etc. I’m supporting Mac since he is our coach and I definitely support our student-athletes. There will always be a better day.
  10. True, I would say 4 at worst. fantasy... hey mav... I thought you didn't read the rest of the USF board?
  11. Great game and atmosphere. (Sold out in the Arizona Cardinal's stadium; Phoenix University Stadium?) I saw that... a cheap shot. He will be suspended. US 2-0 this year. 3-1 vs. Denmark 2-0 vs. Rival Mexico.
  12. I saw something yesterday on Scout saying he is delaying his decision? Any news?
  13. "What's really funny about this is you never know," Canales said. "I've been out of work twice in 22 years and who's picked up the phone both times? [uSF coach] Jim Leavitt. Call it divine intervention or whatever you want. "Jim called me at 5:45 [Tuesday] morning and said, ‘Let's go. We have to win the Big East. I need you here.'" http://www.tbo.com/sports/bulls/MGBUSB39VXE.html You have to love this man! When is football season starting?!?!?
  14. Here is something that many might not know.  In foreign countries, there are many athletic clubs.  So the same people that you see at the stands follow the same soccer team, indoor soccer team, basketball team, volleyball team, etc. It's like having the name ‘Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ for every sport imaginable.... OR even easier to compare, it's like college schools being professional teams.  Same team colors, same team, ONE big family of fans for every sport.  And you usually pay (donate) to the athletic club and you are usually given a membership card.  Then you can use the facilities and even attend games for free (usually for none revenue sports).  Also, there are usually many leagues (division 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, etc.) for every sport. That is why you see many soccer teams with the initial FC (futbol/football club) and then the team (or association name).  If it's basketball then BC is added and then the team name, etc.
  15. Grothe and Ford... what a combo, huh? I hope FORD TOUGH is not all hype! Man, next year is going to be awesome!
  16. I would say that we will be 27th in the polls entering the season. However, I just don't like the start of the season. I would rather have the first version of next year’s schedule. With the old one, we could have piled up the wins early and stay in the top 25 for the rest of the year (refer to Rutgers of this past year).
  17. So what is the highest SAT score you can have now?
