    If we can beat Florida - remember we are the trap game ahead of their home game against Alabama - then the season will take on an entirely different trajectory. MK should extend him on the spot!

    That makes no sense. That means they would have to hire a HC for just one season and then fire him. What quality coach, in their right mind, would ever want to come to a program after firing a coach after just one season? That would be like MK firing Strong after just two seasons. Terrible idea if you were UCF.

    I have seen them play and I think Scott will have much better options to choose from at QB that he did last year. Everyone returning now has a year in Scott's system. This team is ready for lift off!

    I would like to see them redshirt McClain and let the rest of group battle it out, but would hope Scott can be a keen enough of an evaluator that he can name a starter before Week 12 of the regular season (sarcasm).

    A USF alum and fan through and through. If USF were a stock I would buy it and take it to the moon!

    MK made a fantastic hire in Scott and think we can expect a huge jump from Year 1 to year 2.

    I think 8-4 is possible and if we get improved quarterback play 10-2 is very realistic.

    I think over the last 3+ years we have seen significant improvement in the players and the program in general. Progress is rarely a straight line and we need to better understand and be a little more empathetic of what these players and coaches are having to deal with during a pandemic. Given a full offseason, and a return to normalcy, I am confident we will see MBB achieve new heights under Gregory.

    This team is very competitive. We just haven't seen the team gel and play their best yet.

    This is a team that could have finished in the top 4 before the shut down. We had some very winnable games get cancelled. The team was playing better before the break and now the team has alot of rust to knock off. Gregory even mentioned after the game the team wasn't running on a full tank. I think MK should extend Gregory because it would be a vote of confidence for him that we believe in him and the path he has us on - its the right message to send. And we have seen with the 24 win season what he is capable of here. Gregory may be the best MBB coach we have had since Lee Rose.

    I am not sure what people were expecting this year during a pandemic - Yetna was coming off a major injury, last year's team had a losing record, a freshman guard can't replace one of the best defensive guards in the country and Gregory hasn't had the time to fit his new pieces together so the offense can take off. Don't forget the mess Gregory had to take over. For that alone MK should give him an extension. It takes times to rebuild a program - Gregory didn't win more than 16 games in a season at Georgia Tech until his 5th season. Just be patient - he is building something special.

    MK is going to give Gregory every chance to figure this out.

    I suspect that is about him not having his legs back yet. Without leg strength the tendency is to lean back or fade away to create arc. Once is he gets his legs back his jumper should improve.

    Gregory will get this figured out with a full offseason and more time to work with this group. We also don't know if anyone on the team had Covid and isn't 100%. The team should be much better next year.

    On the bright side, Yetna is playing as aggressive as I have seen since the injury.
