  1. yeah everybody! lets wear the other team's colors to the game! good idea!
  2. Lets not forget that the game was not televised. I doubt any of the AP voters bothered going to this one, therefore NO ONE saw it. If we win the games we need to win things will work themselves out.
  3. they do. i'd post a pic, but i'd rather see you at the game.
  4. Last year we didnt even have a full team. About 9 healthy players all year which is a big part of it. We lost an all american (to rutgers) with the coaching change. It's going to take time, but we've got some good players now, they're just young.
  5. That's what happens when your best player only plays once all year due to injuries. When your incoming freshmen all come in hurt. And when you play a different roster every game because of injuries. We're rebuilding. I think it's much too soon to go calling for the coach's head just yet.
  6. it makes me wish we would have punched it in the two times we had it inside their 5 with less than three minutes to go.
  7. with all due respect, most of the students on this board havent been around long enough to have seen a good basketball team at usf. I think if you put a winning product on the court, even the donors will get into the game.
  8. well, uconn is the media darling of the big east. They're ranked #8 or something, netted three outright awards (midfielder of the year, defensive player of the year, rookie of the year) and put seven players on the all conference teams, (2 first team, 2 second team, 2 third team, one honorable mention). They're also the defending big east champions and have won something like five big east championships. It would be big to beat them, if nothing else but for respect. We're ranked #20 in one poll, overlooked just about everywhere else, while we finished four points ahead of uconn in the rankings. A side note, Keifer was an assistant at uconn before he came to usf, i'd really really love to see us come out and put it to them...but it will be a really close game at uconn in front of a sell out crowd (2500). The odds are stacked against us, but if we play our game (like we did the second half against st. johns) we can beat just about anyone.
  9. yeah uh, louisville didnt even make the tourny.
  10. unfortunatly bowl games have nothing to do with winning percentages...but rather fanbase and tv money. That being said, I think there are plenty of hungry travel ready rutgers fans...and unless it's something big and close, i dont think USF is going to draw the same.
  11. This is good news. "Brenner is expected to return for Sunday’s championship game." Per the USF press release.
  12. Rutgers looks pretty good thusfar. It's still early though. I'd rather Louisville won.
  13. Kosha Irby is a good guy. He really seems to care, is young, approachable, and has a level head on his shoulders. I think he was a good hire for USF and if he's given the resources he needs, could be very successful. I think as a whole Woolard is slowly making good things happen around here. I really like where we're going in all areas. Unfortunatly it all takes time.
  14. The game is on at Noon on Sunday and will be shown live at the clubhouse. If not, you can watch it tape delayed at 4pm on CSTV.
  15. Personally I expected more out of Buckley...but maybe that's just me. He looked a little gunshy and missed some makeable shots early...down the stretch he opted for the pass before the shot. Collin Dennis also needs to shoot the ball. He's got one of the nicest shots on the team, but he never shoots. Rather he tries to drive the lane and gets beat up doing it. I don't think that's going to work for him in the big east.
  16. This is a win win. They already know how to lose.
  17. Ummm....stats that stand out? how about 24 of 26 from the free throw line. 92.3%
  18. well...it wouldnt take much to top last night's attendance. 68 at tip off.
  19. this hurts...but who knows, maybe with a good recruiting class this could turn out to be a positive. Like Hunter West getting injured this year, or the Jones's sitting out last year.
  20. Yeah...right after we win two more games.
  21. FYI Cinci is also the faculty appreciation day.
