well, uconn is the media darling of the big east. They're ranked #8 or something, netted three outright awards (midfielder of the year, defensive player of the year, rookie of the year) and put seven players on the all conference teams, (2 first team, 2 second team, 2 third team, one honorable mention). They're also the defending big east champions and have won something like five big east championships. It would be big to beat them, if nothing else but for respect. We're ranked #20 in one poll, overlooked just about everywhere else, while we finished four points ahead of uconn in the rankings. A side note, Keifer was an assistant at uconn before he came to usf, i'd really really love to see us come out and put it to them...but it will be a really close game at uconn in front of a sell out crowd (2500). The odds are stacked against us, but if we play our game (like we did the second half against st. johns) we can beat just about anyone.
