  1. I disagree.  There was really no hope at that point.  There was no reason, judging by the last hour of football, that we could put points up any other way.  Going out with some points would have salvaged some self-respect as well as some modicum of respect from around the country.  We came out with nothing.  I would rather have had the points. :-/

  2. Thanks, Knight.  Although I am a Bulls fan all the way (undergrad degree here), I got my Master's at UCF in 2003 and cheer you guys on, of course except when we play you!

I really enjoyed the game from Hawaii and thought you guys showed yourselves well.  See you in Orlando next year for what I believe will be a great game.  Lots of us coming over. ;D

  3. In my opinion, we should offer to buy a beer for an opposing fan after we slaughter them on the field.

As for message boards, we should state facts to repute the massive amount of mis-information about USF and formulate informative arguments to kill their ridiculous statements.

I agree.  I remember when we played UCF and everyone came on the board and bitched about how low class the fans were what with foul language, bullying, trashing, etc.  Now we have people that want us to act in a similar manner.

The way you act toward an opponent is a reflection of the type of person that you are.  If you are the type to kick someone when they are down, that is how you will act toward opposing players or fans when they are down.  Just be honest with yourself.  If you find that admirable, so be it.  I don't share your values.

The world is full of anal aperatures.  Encouraging others to be just another one is nothing special.  You might as well just transfer to a program that has professional buttholes.  You could learn better and quicker there the art of vicarious agression.

A related topic -- I crack up when people on this board proudly proclaim that we will never be rivals with UCF and then take every opportunity to castigate and humiliate them all the while professing our superiority and looking forward to beating them everytime we play.  Duh -- isn't that what "rivals" means??

  4. Employee Relations Specialist for the City of Lakeland (live in Spring Hill, so I guess I am a professional commuter).

I am enrolled in a four year Lay Pastoral Ministry Institute for the diocese of St. Petersburg.  Just can't stay away from school!

Hobbies include singing (mostly contemporary Christian music), hack guitar player, music writing, creative writing, fishing (none of which I actually have time to pursue).

  5. I, too, had my expectations exceeded.  In the beginning, I was hoping that going into the Big East that we wouldn't embarass ourselves.  In my opinion we didn't do that.  Yes, we had some bitter pills to swallow.  We blew opportunities and played inconsistently.  But, all in all, we represented better than I expected.

I believe that we will get the play calling thing handled in the off season.  I think that we will get some good recruits and remember -- many on our team are freshmen and sophomores.  So the future will be better.  I am very proud of my team and my school.

And we have the best looking cheerleaders and dancers in NCAA sports!!!

  6. And now, life truly begins.  I used to dress my kids in USF gear when they were little and got to watch my daughter walk across the USF stage to receive her BA.  Second generation Bull!

My prayers to God for you and your wife in your time of joy.  You have never had such an awesome, yet rewarding responsibility.  Look to your heavenly Father for direction and remember -- this is not your kid, it is God's.  You are just the babysitter!
