I accidentally hit the "first page" arrows when I was trying to go back and catch up on things. The sad thing is, it took me a while to realize that the conversations that I was reading were actually from 2012.

Good to see the UCF'ers are still visiting the board. Seriously, great name.

Sorry to hear this. Get well soon!

Really looking forward to this trip. I don't think we are doing the alumni tailgate, but will probably do the get together the night before. Where is everyone staying?

Sitting in the South Endzone for the last 15 or so years, I've become used to and enjoy the view from that angle, so either there, or somewhere on the West sideline for the afternoon shade.

That one hurt to read. Can't say any of it is off-base though, unfortunately. Should be used as bulletin board material for every athletics administrator and football coach in the building as a reminder that you are never too far from the top or bottom if everyone is / isn't on the same page.

Mike Ford was a 5 star on rivals
I was thinking of players that signed directly out of high school.

Link? I just did a quick search and he's not even rated by the recruiting sites. I want him to be a 5 star, but I'm not seeing what you're reading.
He's unranked by Rivals and isn't even in the 24/7 or ESPN database.
The only thing I can see is that he declared himself a 5 star on his Twitter page.
The #1-5 kickers are 3 stars.
2024 Top Kicker Recruits
The 247Sports rankings are determined by our recruiting analysts after countless hours of personal observations, film evaluation and input from our network of scouts.I didn't search extensively, but a local story said he was a 5 star athlete, then linked to a site that listed him as the top ranked kicker in the '24 class. No clue as to the validity. I didn't think a kicker would typically be ranked as a 5 star, but I guess if you're the best at your position, maybe?
Family comes first for the Gramatica kicking family
Nico is a junior, and Gaston is a freshman at Cambridge Christian School. This will be their first season the brothers will be playing varsity football together. -
I asked on the other board, but am I reading correctly that he's the top ranked kicker in the country and a 5 star prospect? If that is the case, would he be our first?
-
#1 kicker in the country I'm reading - and a 5 star? Is that true, and if so, is that our first 5 star recruit?

Not picked again… you would think with our brains (AAU) and our $300m new big boobs (OCS) we would be more attractive..
Maybe because we don't put out (W-L record)?

It's the definition of "insanity" if they build it in the same area as the Trop. Webster will literally replace the current definition of the word with the story of the Rays building a new stadium in the same spot as the previously failed location.

I know some of the Twitter fans over there are hyped because they "stole" one of our QBs, but in reality, outside of a rash of injuries, he was never going to see the field here. GB, BB, and Archie this year; BB, Archie, and Israel Carter for the next few years. Gunnar was just never going to see the field here unless at least 3 QBs in front of him got hurt.
Sounds familiar

Who typically gets excluded from stadiums? UCF people?
Wondered this myself. Would love to hear examples of what they mean by this.
Edit: I'd love to exclude all UCF'ers

I like the idea of a gathering area, berm, etc. People flock to areas where you can stand around and congregate, maybe some bar height railings with bar tops on them on the edges of the concourses, similar to what the Rays have in the outfield, and Lightning have in the corners. Also I love when the concourses are open and have a view of the field area. Shade is a must, if there is a way to design the stadium for maximum natural airflow to keep it cooled off, that would be great. I think they did that for the World Cup venues in Qatar to mitigate the high temps.

I remember complaints about Bowl Game destinations when we were selected for the Sun Bowl. Trust me, we aren't happy unless we are complaining about something.
I mean, in the fans' defense, we were #2 in the country that year - I think we were justified in expecting better than spending NYE in El Paso. That being said I went to El Paso and had a great time, other than the result of the game.
