Imagine if someone had said that about USF entering the AAC a few years ago.  Oh, and CUSA, Big East, etc.  

Homecoming team for UConn - that stings.  As an aside, there has always been something that I hate about watching UConn games, especially in Rentschler.  It always seems like the game is being played in quicksand.  So slow.  I don't know if they keep their grass like a foot high or what, but it always just seems like a slog.

Yeah, think that was the wrong presser linked.  The CAG presser today was actually really good.  He gave a very detailed look into the process they used to determine who they wanted to bring in from the transfer portal.  Each time I hear CAG speak the more I think we got the best guy for the gig.  I hope he is in it for the long haul.

We loved it.  Went to the Orioles game on Thursday night, checked Camden Yards off the stadium bucket list (wasn't great that they clinched that night).  Friday we did the Naval Academy walking tour, which was excellent.  Saw the noon meal formation as well as the formal parade that afternoon.  I think you may have indicated what an emotional experience it is to see and hear about all of the formalities, traditions, etc., and that was dead on.  I can't imagine the pride that these Midshipmen's parents and families must feel.  We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn, which was perfect for walking both to downtown/Academy, as well as back up toward the stadium.  We frequented quite a few bars/restaurants downtown, and all were very good with friendly service.  Weather was awesome and a nice relief from all the heat back home.  This was top 2 or 3 (or better) away game experiences that I've had.  Hope to go back next time around and bring the rest of the family when the kids are a bit older.

Great to hang with you all!  My arm is still sore from trying to beat the high score on those basketball games!

I will post some pics when I get back home.  What a great trip, one of the best yet.  Great to meet Ricky the Bull and Bullsmania after the game!

I believe there are a few alpha rows, like A-D, then it starts with the numbers. 

I love it..........Maybe not classic USF, but gold helmet, white jersey, gold pants is about as classic college football as you can get.

At the Academy, they form up (don't remember exactly what it is called) at noon on Friday before going to lunch. That was a can't miss in our book.  Did the tour early in the day so we could catch that afterward.

We have our walking tour at 10 Friday - plan on seeing the Meal Formation afterward.  They actually have a Formal Dress Parade Friday afternoon at 4, plan on seeing that before the USF Happy Hour, which is like a 2 minute walk from the Naval Academy Visitor gate.

Flying into BWI Thursday morning, checking into Hilton Garden Inn downtown Annapolis and heading to the Orioles Red Sox game.  Naval Academy Tour Friday AM, then the USF get together on Friday night.

No turf!  I like the checkerboard idea.

We went in 30 min early Saturday (gate C) to get hats for my kids and the tables didn't look like anyone had been there all day.
