  4. Hey JoeB, Tell your friend we are going to kill the University of Alabama at Auburn in 2007.
  5. Are there going to be any special shirts we can buy, like the gold ones for the Bama game, that will be worn...other than green, so we don't blend in with Miami fans?
  6. Dodge and Coke are actually TEAM USF Corporate Champions. Checkers, Chick-Fil-A, and Wendy's are some Corporate Sponsers with red as their primary color.
  7. As far as the red "toro" towels, how about getting Coke or Dodge, who are both USF corporate sponsers already and have red as their primary color, to print towels with the "U" on it and pass them out for the FAMU game. I'm sure they could get permission to use the "U" logo and would only have to put their logo on it somewhere. Great advertising and great for Bulls fans to start a new tradition.
  8. Brad, On the Bealls website, there is also a USF floral shirt that looks nice. You may want to post that picture as well. It is listed under Mens Casual Sportshirts.
  9. From the Tampa Tribune 8/5/05 8:52:15 PM Sophomore Vince Wilson, slated to be North Carolina’s No. 2 tailback this season, has left the Tar Heels with hopes of transferring to the University of South Florida. “I love the atmosphere at South Florida, the players, the coaches,†Wilson said. “Coach [Jim] Leavitt seems like a coach on a mission. He’s determined to bring South Florida up and into a dominating program. Joining the Big East lets you know how far South Florida has come.†Wilson rushed for more than 1,000 yards all three years at Daytona Beach Mainland, including nearly 1,900 as a senior. He earned Class 5A all-state honors and was ranked by Rivals.com as one of the nation’s top 50 athletes. “I thought I’d like North Carolina, but [uNC] Coach [John] Bunting and I decided it just wasn’t for me,†said Wilson, who added he is academically eligible. Wilson must sit out the 2005 season and would have three years eligibility remaining. Last year at UNC he played in nine games, but had only seven carries for minus 3 yards. Wilson (5-9, 203) said he wants to decide where he’ll transfer in the next few weeks

  11. I was talking about the television station. I thought they replayed the spring game a couple of weeks ago on WUSF, Channel 16 on Brighthouse. It would be nice to see some of the old games.

  17. The University of South Florida football team will debut in the BIG EAST with a September 24 home game against Louisville as part of a final schedule released today. The Louisville game follows previously announced games at Penn State (September 3) and at home against Florida A&M (September 10) and Central Florida (September 17) and precedes a first-ever match-up with Miami (October 1) in the Orange Bowl. With Penn State, Miami and a game at Pittsburgh (October 15), USF will face three opponents that have combined for eight national championships, all in the first six games of the season. In addition to Louisville, USF will have BIG EAST home games against West Virginia (October 22) and Cincinnati (November 19). In addition to the Pittsburgh game, USF’s BIG EAST road schedule includes Rutgers (November 5), Syracuse (November 12) and Connecticut (November 26). Among USF’s 11 opponents in 2005, seven played in Bowl Games, including Louisville (Liberty), Miami (Peach), Pittsburgh (Fiesta), West Virginia (Gator), Syracuse (Champs Sports), Cincinnati (Fort Worth) and Connecticut (Motor City). USF played its first season of football in 1997 and has rapidly moved from I-AA to Conference USA in 2003 and 2004 and now the BIG EAST. The Bulls are 55-33 in their first eight seasons of competition, all under head coach Jim Leavitt. USF season ticket information is available by calling 1-800-GoBulls.

  19. I know it's 3 hours away, but I tried to log into the chat area and it wouldn't let me in. Is there a general user and password we are supposed to use for this as non members?
  20. It sounds like mom made him change his mind due to not meeting with our coaches. Seems very odd that our coaches wouldn't have met his mother though.
