  2. Jew, you're right in one part, this is a message board and people can say what they want, i respect that. I know that they were kidding as well, but I can also respond to people saying what they want On the other hand, it's not even close to comparing to greenie. He is not longer with the university and is not a student athlete. I was raised to respect people, especially the opposite sex, and my momma would be pissed off if i didn't speak my peace.
  3. I try to update everyone with information about a USF team doing well and I get smart ass, sexist comments like that. I don't think that's appropriate.
  4. The women's tennis team is ranked No. 54 by the ITA (Intercollegiate tennis association) They weren't ranked to begin the season. Story to come tomorrow, but that's a huge jump....they rank the top 75 teams in the country, and to go from NR to No. 54 is awesome. (January 29, 2005) - The USF women’s tennis team passed its first test of the season, defeating No. 40 Ole Miss in Oxford, 4-3. “The effort was great, and all of our players showed a lot of heart,†said head coach Gigi Fernandez. “I’m beyond proud and hopefully we can get noticed in the rankings.†Coming out of the gate, the Bulls dropped all three doubles matches despite a hard fought battle at the No. 2 position. The Rebels duo of Ilona Somers and Mimi Renaudin proved too much for Gabriela Duch and Louisa Obando, beating the Bulls duo, 9-8. After the first three singles matches were complete, USF was down 3-1, going into the final three matches. Earning USF’s first win of the match and her second straight collegiate victory, freshman Courtney Vernon defeated Somers of Ole Miss, 6-2, 6-2. After being down 3-1, the Bulls rallied back with wins at the No. 4 and 5 positions. At No. 4, Gabriela Duch downed her opponent, Nika Koukhartchouk, in straight sets, 6-3, 7-5. Freshman Liz Cruz tied the score at 3-3 with a win over Mimi Renaudin at the No. 5 position, 6-4, 6-1. With the match tied, 3-3, it came down to USF junior Louisa Obando at the No. 6 position. In dramatic fashion, Obando came back from a set down to defeat her opponent Sarah Sabin, 5-7, 6-3, 6-3. “Louisa coming back from a set down was tremendous,†said Fernandez. “To win in three sets like that while cramping up the whole match shows how much heart she has.†The Bulls will look to extend their two-match win streak against the Memphis Tigers tomorrow in Memphis, Tenn.   7. I don't know if anyone noticed during the cincy game, but Buck was in the middle of the huddle pumping the starting 5 up. He is a great leader on this team. He is itching to get out there on that court and perform for the crowd. Everyone will be very pleased with this kid in the future.

  9. Sheriff, I agree with you totally. Not only has vicki been a huge part, but so have you! If it wasn't for your contributions we might not have been able to go to the Sout Carolina trip. We're just trying to keep alive what you guys started and build upon everything you guys did. You guy were are our foundation and we're just building up! Go Bulls! See everyone on the deuce!
  10. If the people at the STUDENT newspaper called the oracle feels that the STUDENT Bulls Club is not a story, then i think STUDENTS as well as former STUDENTS should voice their OPINION to them in a form of a letter. But that is only my OPINION.

  13. Buckley has a very natural shot. Watching him in pratice is a treat. This guy can shoot the ball from anywhere. To go with his game, he is a great guy. Easy to talk to and very friendly. He loves to play basketball. It will be fun to watch him next year.

  15. Tampa, Fla. – The USF women’s tennis team defeated the Stetson Hatters, 7-0 in its season opener Sunday afternoon at the USF Varsity Tennis Courts. Leading the Bulls to the doubles point were freshman Courtney Vernon and newly eligible Neyssa Etienne. The USF duo easily defeated Jackie Bohannon and Ana Lenoneko, 8-2, at the No. 1 doubles position. “Courtney and Neyssa played an outstanding doubles match,†head coach Gigi Fernandez said. “They clicked as a pair out there.†This marked the first time both Etienne and Vernon paired up in doubles play. Etienne recently became eligible after a year long-battle with the NCAA. “We never lost faith that the NCAA would make the right decision for the student-athlete,†Fernandez said. “We are beyond excited with the decision and look forward to Neyssa having a great collegiate career.†Etienne’s collegiate career got off to a great start, defeating Bohannon, 6-0, 7-5, at the No. 1 position. At the No. 2 position, Vernon defeated Maja Miladinovic, 6-1, 6-0. “I am very proud of everyone on this team. I’m glad everyone won,†said Fernandez. “We had a great day on the courts and now we will work hard and get ready for a tough road match at Mississippi.†The Bulls will travel to Oxford, Miss., to take on the No. 40 Ole Miss Rebels on Saturday, January 29.   19. They won't let you bring your own drinks. Right now we are working on a limited budget. It can get expensive ordering pizza and drinks all the time. The more people who join, the more money we get and the more we can do. so if you are a student, join the SBC!
  20. I spoke with him after the game tongiht and i mentioned to him about the board and all the well wishes everyone was sending him. He's been reading them and he really does appreciate the support from everyone posting ont his board.
