  1. Iwas at the citadel too. Good game, nice town, cool traditions. Old stadum though, bathrooms really needed to be renovated. In the mens room, you just peed on a wall that had water trickling down it. Never seen anything like it.
  2. What is everyones favorite and least favorite road venue for our bulls away games. Don't let the results of the game sway your decision. My favorite is probably OU. What a superb college game day atmosphere. The whole town was ready for game day and the tailgating was expansive. I remember walking from the Bulls pregame party towards to stadium and being offered a beer from three different tailgaters. Very friendly people! The game was fun with the chuckwagons etc. 2nd favorite I would say was SDSU. It was the first time we played against a big school with a good size crowd. Great city, great team hotel (Waterfron Marriott) and great weather. Least favorite - Bama - Dumpy stadium, run down area, weather turned very hot and the stadium actually ran out of water and soda!! Horrible experience. 2nd least favorite - Baylor - just because they are aholes for not returning our game. Waco, what a town!
  3. The Big East better start rallying to get some more bowls. Seems like they are losing a couple. CDOA has more bowls then the Big East.
  4. So how does the Big 12 play into this? ACC opponent for one bowl and pac 10 in the other.
  5. decide already! Please come to usf, you would make this program a huge success. USF beat Nebraska a few years back, plus who wants to go live in the middle of no where.
  6. The Renaissance Hotel at International Mall is a really nice place and is part of International Mall's Bay Street, which is a collection of high end bars and fine restaurants. Depending on your age and your type of scene, this may be an alternative to the younger and rowdier Ybor City crowd. Channelside, which is next the the Ice Palace (St Pete Times Forum {which is in downtown Tampa}) is also a good alternate to ybor and you could stay at the Marriott which is right there and could actually take a trolly to ybor from channelside. Rent a car, tampa bay is too spread out to rely on taxis, especially a trip to clearwater beach. That would easily be $100 round trip from tampa stadium area. Have a great stay, minus the game!!
  7. Who can list the other 26 sports? I would love to see some of the pathetic sports that beat out baseball.
  8. When will usf learn, noon games suck! That is no better then 1100am . People are not going to attend those games. The only way we have more then 15,000 in seats is if we have 7 or 8 wins at that point.
  9. This topic has been moved to [link=http://www.TheBullsPen.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=04012005;action=display;num=1120226815;start=0]South Florida - UCF Unmoderated[/link] by Bulliever.
  10. Even if we win all 3 toss up games, that puts us at 4 wins. How many of the others could we possibly upset? cuse and uconn. That puts us at 6-5. I dont see us beating ul, wvu, psu, miami or pitt.
  11. I will wait until they actually break ground before getting excited. The AD has yet to say what they intend to build first and when. I dont see what the big secret is. What is on the top of the priority list? WHy cant they come out and say, "Ok, we are going to renovate the baseball stadium first, then the soccer stadium, then softball. " So far this is simply a publicity stunt in my opinion.
  12. 5-7K fans? Are you on Crack. I would take that wager any day of the week. We havent drawn numbers that high for a non rated non uf/fsu team in years. Stats dont lie, so dont go expecting more then 4500 fans tops for any remaining game. Actually, I would bet we dont top 3500 fans for any remaining games.
  13. In todays game? USF better have practiced long and hard this week after that embarassment vs SLU. UL is a whole different team. If we play like we did vs SLU, look for a 40 point loss.
  14. We are the 13th largest school in the country. We need to start acting like it for crying out loud. 188 RPI? Our president and AD should not tolerate a stat like that. Some of the schools above us have student enrollment of less then 4,000. We should be in the top 50-75 every year.
  15. Sounds like another big mistake. How many players are going to make the same mistake, year after year.
  16. We shot 12% in the 1st half. Coincedently we also scored 12 points in the half. Go figure. That was the ugliest game I have seen in the sundome in a LOOONNNGGGG time. Maybe the cincy game 6 or 7 years back was as ugly, but I have a hard time remembering one. BS had an awful night, taking some really bad shots. RM did little to break the zone of SL. I think I am being swayed by the dark side. Luke I am your father.
  17. Give me a break. Are you telling me you didnt waffer on what school to attend? For most of us there were fewer variables to consider. This guy, like most have numerous factors to consider. He obviously sees the plusses and minuses of both programs, and is weighing his decision. That has nothing to do with not being able to make a decision or causing a disruption. Thats why signing period is open for so long. Kids dont have to decide by Feb.2. Most do, but they dont have to. The longer this goes, the better chance we have. I think LSU has more tradition obviously, but I think this guy would do much better at USF because he would be a big fish ina smaller pond and would be noticed more then he would other places. He would start sooner at usf and would have a bigger impact on the BE. Not to mention he would be closer to home, and his parent could easily see every game. Trips to BR are not easy.
  18. Hobbie was a frigin HS coach before usf. Zero college experience. Find a guy with college experience. I am sure there are some ex UF coaches looking for a job, or a QB coach somewhere that has done well and would take a promotion to OC.
  19. Well, let the pink slips fly, we need to shake things up offensively. If JL cant see that, then maybe he should go.
  20. With the addition of these 2 guys, we have just filled a major hole in our program. They both will lead us to much greener pastures, both are awesome athletes. We will be in a BCS Bowl within 3 years. This is really just the start of USF football. The groundwork has been laid, the foundation has been laid, now comes the real thing, time to build something special. "It's Great to Be A U-S-F Bull.
  21. Has there been any word on any coaching changes? I know FSU is brining in Marshalls' OC. Is JL sticking to Hobbie and ? as the OC and QB coach?
  22. Not sure how many were at the outback bowl, but i attended, and was truly impressed with their band. They had a ton of energy, and swagger in their step. We need to send reps up there for consultation. Sorry to those on here who are in HOT, but your leadership has done you wrong, and aftr watching uw and ug's bands, I am sorry to say we are light years behind. Hats of to the UW student sections as well. They got the wave going like I have never seen. First trip around the stadium was normal, then as it approached the student section, they did it in very slow motion. It continued around the stadium like that, then they did it super fast, which the stadium copied, then they got it to reverse back the other way, and finally got it to go in 2 directions. This was all consective, with only one attempt for each different type of wave.
  23. to play in RJS in 2005. USF plays in the Orange Bowl in 2005.
  24. The last UF was not announced at 10,000, it was in the high 8,000's. I remember a lot of empty seats. If you recall, that was a game the AD refused to sell individual tickets for. So as a result we had less then a sellout, albeit we would have just had more gator fans in the house.
